Tossing up between the 3 .... I know Origins hasn't come out yet, but I only have enough money for one, and all 3 seems good?

You're going to have to wait for Dragon Age for a nice insight on the game. Also, those 3 games are very different even though they are all RPG.
For example: Risen is an Open World RPG where you probably aren't going to get higher then level 18(i haven't and I took me time). In this game, you'll only find about 3 different armor for each **** You wont expect to find many different types of monster, but dispite that, the game is still awesome.
Dragon age isn't open world. It's much like Last Remnant, and it has a lot of monsters, armor, weapon etc. It has more gameplay, and more ****s to choose from. You even have a team to choose. The gameplay is much more different then Risen.
I didn't play Drakensang
I just finished Risen today, and enjoyed it thoroughly... I have heard a lot of people liked Drakensang but that the world was a little bland and the story pretty cliche.
But come on.. all this vs Dragon Age? No contest. Save your cash for Dragon Age. And preorder it on Impulse using SURVEY-2009 as a promo code like someone else posted a couple days ago.. saved me a good bit of money on the game.
haven't played Drakensang, but Risen is a great rpg which has been thoroughly enjoyable so far. of course, you can also wait for DA:O - don't forget the Day One DLC~ ;)
Risen or Drakensang didn't do it for me.... but maybe I was expecting too much...Tossing up between the 3 .... I know Origins hasn't come out yet, but I only have enough money for one, and all 3 seems good?

if you have to just pick one, wait for Dragon Age: Origin and see reactions, but I don't think the result will be different, since that's a overhyped game compared to the other two and so there'll be a bunch of Bioware's old and new faithfuls to tell you how great it is when the time comes.
if as of now, between the already released two, I myself still find Drakensang an overall better CRPG; in addition to my own party adventure biase, Drakensang just has way more variety in cIass, leveling and quest solving methods.
Risen is a solid solo RPG.
Dragon Age Origins without a doubt
Can't believe that I actually posted the same thing as the person above me...sorry.
why dont you download the demos for both Risen and Drakensang.. i have drakensang its ok but just from playing the risen the demo .. i liked Risen more..I like to explorer :P..drakensang is still good but the story is generic, pretty linear and you cant make many choices when it comes to dialogue.. good combat though :)
Oh, all 3 of them are mandatory, in my opinion. For the RPG aficionado, I mean. Drakensang doesn't give you all that freedom like Risen, and I liked Risen best (liked it much better), but an outstanding game nonetheless. Money very well spent in any case.
As for Dragon Age, I pre-ordered the Deluxe Digital Edition and I'm betting all my chips that it will make history. My hopes are it will be as good as Baldur's Gate 2, a task that I didn't think possible until very recently...
Played Risen and finished it just yesterday. It is quite awesome, despite some drawbacks such as linear story lines, not too much choice of your character, limited weaponry. On the bright side, it is open world, the AI is quite intelligent, fighting feels good, and the graphics are not so bad either. But honestly, judging from DA's screenshots, I would definitely wait for that, seems like a more wholesome package to me!MecfoyAnd the mod tools for DA will be awesome as well.
All companies are greedy. It's competition!!
Any ways, I am shocked many people are saying Dragon Age when the game isn't even out yet; too much hype!!1

Without a doubt, that's pretty funny :DYou don't seem to have a lot of money that Bioware can rip from you. I mean seriously day one DLC? now don't tell me that couldn't have been in the finished product?CyberAltair5
It is explained through and through here: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/dragonage/news.html?sid=6232117, in the comments. The DLC was made by a different team, it shoudn't be "day-one ready", but the game was postponed so they had time to finish, etc., etc.

I'm of a similar opinion. I've played Drakensang and I am currently playing Risen. They are both solid rpg games...not the best rpg games I've ever played, but solid nonetheless. They're both worth checking out. That said, Dragon Age looks awesome and I am definitely looking forward to it. All three games are worth owning and playing, if you're an rpg fan. If you have to choose only one, I'd put my money on Dragon Age.
True, so true. It wouldn't be the first game to disappoint the gamers. Let us wait and see whether it only "looks" awesome or it IS awesome! ;) Till then, Risen is definitely a good buy, but it is not the kind of game I would choose to play twice, despite the very good experience I got doing it the first time around! All companies are greedy. It's competition!!

Bioware is the most over-rated developer out there. Mass Effect was unfinished and NWN was downright awful - I wouldn't get too excited about DA.
Drakensang is fantastic. It's a little laid back, but that's part of it's charm.
I'm downloading the Risen demo as I type. From the vids and comments though - it looks great.

yeah, EA held the PC version back, it has been done for a while, so its only day one because of that... also some nda/blackout apparantly ended today so we should be hearing more thoughts of the game and reviews should be out way before it hits stores. It is explained through and through here: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/dragonage/news.html?sid=6232117, in the comments. What didn't you like about it? I thought the demo was good.Risen sucks and ain't played the other two

I'll say Risen but mainly because I've heard that Dragon Age first DLC/expansion is almost gold. If the basic game still isn't in the market how you can be thinking in sell a not full game? I bought KOTOR, NWN 1, the second expansion (Hordes Of The Underdark) and NWN 2 and were cool games, but I don't want to fall in the console costumer behavior of paying a full price for a game and then start to paying again for "horse armours" two days after.
Nothing against Bioware games themselves, but the business model of DA looks wrong to me :p
Too soon to say for certain on DA, but I'm really really enjoying Risen. It's exactly what I've been looking for.

I know, I'm not gonna get to excited about Dragon Age, hope It turns out to be a good game. I remember being really hyped for Far Cry 2, only to be disappointed when i played it..

I have played the demos for Drakensang and Risen and I would choose Dragon Age. Bioware has never let me down yet.
