RPG games with GUNS?

Well, the ones I can think of right now are Mass Effect which has futuristic guns, Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines and Jagged Alliance 2. There's also Alpha Protocol coming up.

Good game.
You may want to look at community patches to iron out the bugs, though, but I'm sure other users know more about that.

I recommend giving Silent Storm Gold a try. It's a fantastic TBS squad-based game (inspired by Jagged Alliance and X-COM) set in WWII and has some mild RPG elements. The equipment is excellent with some special weapons later in the game. It's challenging and addicting. Your main character and 5 squad members all advance in level and have skill trees with 6 classes (soldier, scout, sniper, medic, engineer, grenadier). Scout and Sniper are a freakin' blast. The game is 2004 but the unique graphic engine will never get old. Also, it's spiritual successor is Hammer & Sickle is even more RPG like and very challenging - and much much better than the reviews it received.

Bloodlines, though the gunplay is rather... not good.

in the hack n slash corner we have alien shooter vengance which is suprisingly solid.

I agree with SerbWarrior. Bioshock isn't a RPG, but its storyline stacks up well like a RPG storyline does.

Edit: Oblivion does have player-made mods that make various types of modern firearms available.

You definitely can't go wrong with STALKER or Mass Effect

Mass Effect is your best bet, but if action games with RPG elements are still ok, try Bioshock or S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

ff7 is excellent

Very good suggestions so far. I would like to add The Fall: Last Days of Gaia. The game got very good scores in german magazines and there is even an extended version available.

hello gamers... i never wrote anything before because there was some many ppl that have found all i wanted(you know what i mean)...

BUT!!!

i completed most of the prg on pc over and over again...

so i start playing old rpg like fallout tactics and fallout 2... i was looking for a game similar to fallout 2 but it wasnt post apocalyptic,it had aliens but no futuristic weapons(as far as i know),all i know is an image in my head.an image i saw at the back of a demo disc 10 years ago...

IF ANYONE KNOWS THE TITLE FROM THE GAME I TRY TO DESCRIBE

RPG,normal weapons,city,alien tentacles all over the city,shooting,killing,and picking up weapons from corpses :)...

human and alien enemies, NOTE:ALL THAT FROM ONLY ONE MINUTE DEMO.... dont have that disc anymore :(

i search on internet blogs and faqs,but nobody knows thins game... im sure that anyone older than 30 will rememer this game
