rts games..

hi, i've been trying to get into rts games lately because im bored of just mainly playing css and a bit of LoL. I want an rts that is fun to play, but isnt too complex, because i find it boring once the game gets too in depth :P. I've played starcraft 2 which i quite enjoyed, i was looking at the lord of the rings, battle for middle earth 2 as i remember the first one being quite good (didnt really play it though). Just want some recommendations please, and dont say C&C3, because i played it and got bored too quick haha :). Thanks

I hate to be so fanboyish, but Starcaft 2 just came out - and you're moving onto a new RTS? I doubt you've even explored 1/10th of what that game has to offer.KHAndAnime

Battle for Middle Earth 2 is good I recomend it. Dawn of War 1 and 2, 2 iscentred on developing units instead of amassing huge armies.Theyre both very differentand are both good games. Alot of friends of mine enjoy the Total War series as well, not my cup of tea personally.

Thanks guys, i tried the campaign of sc2 as well, it was impressive but the problem with me is i lose interest quickly, i need a game i can get into with lots of action. Your right about online, but i tend to want to build up a base and defend instead of attack, which might be why i was getting owned so bad, even when i was playing agaisnt AI at "easy" difficulty i was getting smashed lol :S. I might have a look at either lotr battle for middle earth 2 or dow 2, not sure yet..

I would highly recommend those.

Cheers guys for all the suggestions and what not :P. Im gna give one more game a go (battle for middle earth 2), if i dont like this then i guess the rts genre isnt for me and i should stick to my other games lol xD
