thats right your eyes dont decieve you this article in the link below dictates that the gtx 470 is set to ahve production cut mommentarily and that the gtx 465 is set to replace it.

now we ned to take this with a grain of salt. the site isnt exactly reputable and seems to reaallly dislike nvidia i mean outright loath their existance. BUT stranger things have happened if this is correct the gtx 470 will be succeeded by the gtx 465 which will have a MUCH higher yeild as the die to make the 465 and 470 are the same. the 465 simply isnt as good.

what does this mean for the 480 and the nvidia dual core response to the 5970? why does this site hate nvidia so? how will the gtx 465 even be considered a viable option if in fact CUDA will be trimmed off.

in conclusion this COULD happen but no one is singing the same tune atm and nvidia refuses tro deny or agree with this when approached much like they did with the rumors of the gtx 465 getting cuda scrammed. IF this is right the gtx 400 series will officialy be a blunder as bad as the hd 2000 series from ati if not worse. but given the sites history im calling this prematurely bogus.

Fermi failed, and it's bringing down Nvidia with it. Even though I strongly prefer ATI cards, I DO NOT want Nvidia to go down, simply because there would be no competition and ATI/AMD would rape our asses with astronomically high prices for their new cards, as if they weren't so damn expensive already. What the hell happened to Nvidia? Even when in the GTX 200/HD4000 series, they were still somewhat competitive but the GTX 400 series is an outright ripoff.
