Hi, I'm wondering which game is better overall, RoM or Allods?
Btw, I alredy played RoM, it was okay for a free game. How's Allods?

Ok, thanks guys, btw I just downloaded both games, going to try Allods.orryturWould you mind posting back with how it compares to RoM? I could never get into RoM, it just felt "meh" somehow... :)
both game suck because of cash shop , those games are just unplayble... better stick with wow , aoc or warhammer....FarkemanI have invested dozens, if not hundreds of hours (i dont keep track, but its over a hundred, I know that much) into Runes and haven't spent a dime. None of my characters have touched any item that has required real cash. I have no problems playing the game. But I also don't get into the game in the same way that the people who play WoW nonstop get into WoW... Guess i attribute it to my normal lifestyle that doesn't prioritize Video games as top priority.

None of my characters have touched any item that has required real cash. I have left RoM, but never spent money while I played it either. Truth be told, I prefer a cash shop to a subscription fee, since I'm one of those periodical MMO gamers who can go for several months without touching an MMO if I just don't feel like it. A monthly fee that I have to constantly cancel and reinstate is too much of a hassle. Free with cash shop suits me much better. :)[QUOTE="Farkeman"]both game suck because of cash shop , those games are just unplayble... better stick with wow , aoc or warhammer....gamer620
so ur ok that you grind 4 ever for normal items , gear , level and other dude spends 20 $ and gets everything that you worked so hard in 5 minutes ? ? and in pvp beats you by facerolling hes keyboard ? FarkemanHe probably would if I was dumb enough to PvP against him. :P I don't do PvP in cash shop games. It would be stupid of me to try and compete against someone with someone with such an obvious advantage. If I want to compete in PvP I do it in games without cash shops.
I have been playing RoM for long time myself and i have yet to spend any RL money on anything,But i am just a CORE player for MMO not a HARDCORE player i play normally 2-3 days a week for about 4-5 hours (Sunday,Wednsday and Thursday nights). And i would recommend RoM to anyone from casual to HC
But then again you never have to spend a dime and enjoy the game, which is why I like free mmos, because the fun of MMOs comes from the experience of playing MMOs, not being the best or having the best stuff. Getting to the point of getting the best stuff is a good feeling, but not the actual part of getting it. And when that experience can be completely free.Agent_KaliaverWell said. :) An MMO is about the journey, not about the destination. Or at least it should be... if nothing else because the good ones have no destination. Level caps move all the time.
say what you want , but il better pay 15$ a month and play game where everyone is equal and can compete againts each other , group up and have fun in the same scale ! guess most of people agrees with me ...
so called free mmos with cash shops are destroying whole mmo ganre !
and ddo is the best choice if ur lookin for pve , but sooner or later you will need to spend that cash in cash shop !
But that's still not fully equal. I've played those games too, but I'm still at a disadvantage against the ones who have more free time than I do. I have a full time job, a marriage, and we own a house. I can't spend as much time grinding levels as others do, and as a result, I progress slower. I'm behind in that system as well. Let's be honest, there will never be an MMO system that is completely and utterly equal to everyone who plays it. And since that's the case, I would rather there are several, so everyone can chose the ones they prefer and not be forced to play in one they detest, than the other way around. And I still don't see the point of detesting, by the way. Again, no one is forcing anyone to play in any kind of system. It's offered, not required.say what you want , but il better pay 15$ a month and play game where everyone is equal and can compete againts each other , group up and have fun in the same scale ! guess most of people agrees with me ...

[QUOTE="Farkeman"]so you are supporting cash shops ? because of cashshops game becomes unplayable and unbalanced ... just spit the truth : ' i prefer cash shop games , coz i can buy super uber leet sword of destruction and actualy kill someone ' ChiliDragonThat would be more true if I actually used the cash shops... but I don't. Cash shops means that if you don't use them you get a free game. If you don't like them, play another game, simple as that. I really don't get the bitter hatred against them... no one is forcing anyone to use cash shops or play games that use them. They're completely voluntary, and if they bother you, then play a game that has another revenue model, like subscription fees. No need to resort to personal attacks here. :) The hatred against cash shops is the incorrect assumption that it is ALL about buying the best weapons and equipment, when atleast in games like RoM the only thing money gets you are mounts, inventory space, and some other things that as far as I know don't even affect your characters performance in battle (outside of experience potions)

This is exactly the reason why I don't play MMOs anymore. I got tired of all the time I had to put in. God, and the people who did...well...I'm just not going into all that.
