I see you're aiming for the "open world games"... I've bought The Saboteur the day it was released in Europe and i gotta say it was a very good game, however just cause 2 would be a much better choise imo. There's a lot more to do in JC2 and the gameplay and keyboard controls are great... the only thing that worries me is voice acting which is not top notch but still satisfying... I would strongly recommend you to download and play the demo so you can see for yourself... cheers xD

The demo for JC2 has more content and is more fun than many full price games.
Even bad devs deserve a second chance. Avalanche delivered this time.

Yea h, played the first. The story was extremely paper thin, the characters were too stereotypical, and the gameplay? It get's boring after an hour. I haven't played the second one since I have a habbit of only playing the full game from the start, but they had better made a 10 times better sequel if they want me buying it.

I played the first one. Hated it. I then played the JC2 demo. Loved it. There are times when a developer can strike back from making a bad game.
I have dl and played the JC2 demo and found it rather repetitive pretty quickly. High level of autoaiming, crappy mouse deceleration control and tight field of view didn't help me like it any either. Saboteur looks visually crappier and slower paced but seems more intelligent gameplay wise; not just stupid, senseless chaos all the time like JC2. I see zero stealth gameplay in JC2 but there is in Saboteur, correct? Sucks there is no Saboteur demo.
I found the JC2 demo interesting for about 1 hour then it got old and boring to me. Too bad there is no Saboteur demo, it seems more my style where you have to think instead of just silly action all the time. I just don't want to waste my money on Saboteur.
There are many better games out there if you like mindless action. Serious Sam: The Second Encounter HD is one of them and has just been released. It's only $19 and you won't regret buying it. On the other hand I guarantee you will regret buying either The Saboteur or JC2 because they're both mediocre at best.
I'm loving the hell out of JC2 on the PC (it's also Steam-activated like a Valve game, so win there). It is fairly repetitive, though IMO the repetitive part is SO. MUCH. FUN. You pretty much do nothing but blow up things and grapple around in improbable fashions. The actual missions are surprisingly varied and fun - some odd things with the balancing though, being an open-world game - you can make some missions ridiculously easy by being prepared (assassinate this guy on foot? show up in a helicopter and he lasts 0.5 seconds!). The voice acting is hilariously bad, as is the story, and the game seems to know it and rolls with it. I'd also second the recommendation of Red Faction: Guerrilla - it also is open-world and lets you do pretty much whatever, except the balancing is a bit more straightforward/linear (RF's is consistently tough, whereas JC2 goes from 'cakewalk' to 'cakewalk' to 'cakewalk' to 'oh god get out you're going to die'), the game world is much smaller, and the story's slightly better. Seriously, watch Zero Punctuation's review of JC2. He actually likes the game and generally speaks well of it, basically saying 'many things are terrible about the game, but the game itself is fun.'
