Sacred was better then the first 2 Diablos combined. Sacred 2 will kill Diablo 3. Better gameplay, better graphics, bigger game. Just a better overall game and in stores much sooner.
Sacred 2 is going to be better than Diablo 3 AND will actually be out this year.

I've never played Sacred, but I just read up on it and I am finding myself thinking two things.
Firstly, it is a Diablo 2 clone. Secondly, it was released four years after Diablo 2. Taking a game's formula and bettering it four years later is hardly an impressive feat.
You can't really look at how good Sacred 2 will be compared with Diablo 3 by looking at how good Sacred was compared with Diablo 2, because there was four years between them - the Sacred developers could take what Blizzard did and build upon it. This time, both the Diablo and Sacred developers are independently building upon what they previously created. It's an entirely different situation.
As for the visuals, I don't agree at all. The pictures you've linked are stale and bland, and remind me of The Sims. Just look at the stone texture on the left hand side of the interior picture, then compare it with this:
Diablo 3 has fair more detail in its architexture, and your Sacred 2 images are extremely antiseptic.
