Hey, i got one of those 360 wireless reciever, so I can use my 360 wireless controllers on the pc (with a select few games) and even when I turn of my pc, the light on the receiver remains on. Is it safe for the pc to have this plugged in and pulling electricity the whole time? Thx in advance.

If it wasn't then you wouldn't leave your keyboard plugged in or your mouse or your webcam or your flash drive or a plethoraof other USB devices.

It is safe. Your motherboard has a 5V rail that supplies power to the USB even when it is turned off. This is useful for charging iPods/PSPs etc even when your PC is off. If you don't like it, nice mobos have a bios setting to turn this off while basic mobos normally have a 2-pin jumper near the USB headers that you can take off.

Yeah, I'd say it's safe. I've had mine since summer 2008, and since then it stays plugged in 95% of the time. I've never had problems with it, so I'm sure you will be fine too. ;)
