well if you dont plan on doing a lot of gaming then yes go ahead im saying this because sometimes games simply dont work or have poor performance on vista.
of course in the next few months to a year all these problems will be fixed. vista will be the standard windows xp was just like this when it first came out.

I'm only going to play vista compatible games, I'm not really a pc gamer but games like halo 2 for pc will hold me down untill halo 3 for 360, im a 360 gamer.

I hear a lot of people saying about bugs on Vista but everyone i know who has it says it performs fine. Even the Xp conversion.criminalowen
just to clarify there should be no reason the conversion would have any problems. basicly all copies of vista contain everything from home basic to ultimate and ur key unlucks a certain version stored on it. so basicly doing this conversion will turn ur windows xp into the vista, this ofcourse makes you lose xp but you get vista for cheaper.
