Are any of you playing Sam & Max Season One right now?

I just finished Episode 3 last night and I'm planning on jumping right into Episode 4 this weekend. I love those games so far. I think it's the most fun and original piece of entertainment I've seen on the PC in a long while. Shooters and RPGs are usually my favorite genres, but this is very different, very refreshing.

Well, you know, I guess I just felt the urge to talk about it. Long live Telltale!! :)

Sam and Max were great, as for all the Lucasarts adventures from these days! Somehow I can't get myself to play the new Sam and Max series - it doesn't draw my attention anymore; don't know why that is.

The genre died and I always thought the were no worthy successors to it. Since two weeks I play Knight of the old Republic, also a Lucasarts title. The game is great and feels like an old school graphic adventure but way spiced up. There are so many clear similiarities between the KOTOR gameplay and the old Lucas adventures, but it is just one step further than "simple" point and click; really innovative.

I think of Sam and Max as my childhood heroes, well sort of. I still like to play hit the road once or twice a year. Maybe if I ever come across the full pack of the new series, I take my leap and buy the thing. I hope it will blast me away in the same way KOTOR did, but somehow I've got a feeling it won't.

Well since you're comming on that strong, I think you have a good reason for doing that. Is it really that fun!? I mean, does the sense of humor live up to the original? More so, I'm having a little trouble with playing a game in episodes. I'd rather get my hands on the full game when it's finished.
Isn't it only available online!? I don't recall seeing it in the shops.

Also finished EP 3 yesterday!

Its a great series.. a must if you liked the original! I´m looking forward to the next Ep!

Great humor involved, but i think the puzzle solving is a bit too easy (bring back simon the sorcerer! heheh) and the are getting shorter and shorter! But still, awesome game!

"hey sam, if it keeps getting later and later, then how come its early sometimes?"

I love Sam & Max, but haven't played the episodes yet. I'm a bit behind on my games right now, so I might as well wait for a boxset or something to come out.

I bought episode one, but I just didn't find it funny at all. I decided the give the demo for ep 2 a whirl, just to see if I'd missed anything, but it just didn't appeal. Humour is very subjective and the jokes in the new Sam and Max didn't click with me. I liked the original quite a bit when I played it back in college, but Day of the Tentacle was more my type of humour.
