Don't read reviews on adventure games at Gamespot, go to Adventuregamers.com for that. Gamespot doesn't know how to review an adventure game, that's why they give most of them crap scores.
Granted AG doesn't have a review for it yet either. They seem to take their time about getting reviews out for games.
Just buy it. Sam and Max Season1 was just so consistently excellent that I think telltale (and co)has earned the benefit of the doubt.
I have to wait for the full season compilation (I don't have an international credit card and England doesn't get much love from the digital distributors), but I will buy it without even thinking of checking a review.
Or they will give a high score to a game like Sherlock Holmes:The Awakened. that every other site gave mediochre scores to.ttomm1946
That's because most sites, like Gamespot, don't know how to review adventure games. Stick to adventure game specific sites for adventure game reviews, and take a good look at what they have to say in the review itself and not just the score. AG comes across as much more level-headed and fair in their reviews than most other places.
Granted, don't get me wrong, that doesn't mean every one of their reviews will be spot-on, but they're a much more reliable source on the whole.
