Depending on what resolution and FPS you want I would say medium/high.

i didn't think that Vista made a difference. does it (i run XP 32)? and I'd say High. I have a 9800 GT, an almost carbon copy of an 8800 GT, and it runs at roughly 20 FPS on high.

Yeah i would say high settings on a mid resolution (1280x1024 for example), that should give about 25-30 fps, maybe more if you run the game in DX9 mode.

That's why I said medium/High because not everyone likes 20 FPS. I prefer a min of 40 myself.

k. I've conditioned myself to run on minimal frames; guess I don't exactly represent the main gaming populace :)

These days you kind of do. Due to motion blur making lag not as bad many people can live with 25FPS in most games.

Go max (very high)it out on 1024x768 or 800x600. No problems at all. I have the game by the way. Go for XP.

Don't show off. I don't like it.

I ran crysis on an emachine with a 2.4 ghz processor, 2GB of RAM, and an NViDEA 8600 GT. The settings were mostly on medium/high, but I have a higher tolerance for choppyness than most people.
