Sams Club HDTV

Considering buying this tv. Good buy or not? Im looking to stay with sony since theyve never let me down. Not looking to go over 40" because 1080p is not needed and to expensive. I love sam clubs warranty program. if you can suggest a better tv or deal, go for it.

Getting back to the discussion.  I have a Sony CRT set right and I love it.  

Can't go wrong with Sony.  But considered opinion, shoot for the XBR.   That's their top of the line.  It goes in around $2000 now, but I'm sure that that price will go down too. 

What is wrong with the tv I linked? XBRs are to expenisve for me. XBRs arent sold at sams club either. Im looking for a good warranty and sams club has the best policy. Should I go with samsung instead? Im looking for a 40' 1080p lcd. Is 1080p even nessecary?Constant-Ra1n

Sams Club also has a 55 inch 1080p Sony SXRD, and a 61 inch 1080p Samsung DLP. The Sony LCD ain't bad i guess, you're only going to keep it for like a year anyway right lolm3Boarder32

Plan on keeping this new tv for 10 years. I dont have the money to stay with new tvs every year.
