(My thread got locked on another board and I was told to post it here. I have gotten quite a few answers. I've only added the specs below to confirm on the TV I am interested in.)
I am upgrading my standard 32"inch TV to a flat screen. I want to enjoy both size and quality of video. And I love to play PS3 and really want to enjoy its graphics. How good is a Samsung C430 50" tv compared to a 40" Full HD LCD. Both cost the same.
The tv I am thinking of buying is:

Its video specs are:
Video
- 49.9" Screen Measured Diagonally The diagonal length of a TV screen or monitor, as measured in inches from corner to corner.
- 1,365 x 768 Native Resolution Fixed number of horizontal scan lines on a TV. P (Progressive) means scan lines are drawn in sequence.
- 2,000,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio Difference in luminosity between brightest color (white) & darkest (black) over time. Higher ratio means more contrast.
- .001 ms Response Time Speed at which pixels can change color. Lower response times mean better motion image reproduction.
- 600Hz Subfield Motion Refresh Rate
- 16:9 Aspect Ratio
- ConnectShare™ JPEG only Technology that enables a user to access camcorder videos and music libraries directly on a TV screen.
- Game Mode Mode in which a user can play video games on an LCD television.
- Anynet+™ (HDMI-CEC) Technology that allows one remote to control all digital devices in a home theater/entertainment system.
- Auto Channel Search Function that seeks out available channels and automatically programs them for easy cycling.
- Auto Power Off Function that automatically powers down television to save energy if no signal is present.
- Auto Volume Leveler Function that caps volume on loud advertisements so that they're more consistent with programming.
- Clock & On/Off Timer
- Closed Captioning
- HDTV Tuner Built-in An internal receiver that enables a TV to utilize Digital Television technology.
- Sleep Timer
- V-Chip
- Is 600Hz good? is higher the better or vice versa?
- HDTV tuner built in? is it a good option too?
- Is Dynamic Contrast Ratio good or not?
- Is response time good?
- 50" is massive but its 720p. Would it really make a difference at this size?
Thanks
