Hello ;)

I've recently bought the blu-ray ROM and last 2 days I've finished built my PC well today is the first time I've ran the PC the ROM is connected well into SATA and also the tray is working but it isn't reading anything it's not booting CDs or DVDs but it's recognized in the BIOS what is the problem?

Is a faulty drive?

Thanks :)

Try a different SATA port.

Is it detected on My Computer? If not, look for the drivers online or something.

Ah. Well, first, are you sure you put the disk drive as the primary boot drive in the boot priority list? If it is, and it still does not boot, then I'd say it's a faulty drive.

Make sure you're actually booting from it (Usually F12 or DEL for boot menu) and make sure the discs are bootable.

If you've done both, the drive is faulty.
