Some Samsung LCDs have a so called GameMode setting. I have such a TV but I haven't used the mode. Should I?
To me it seems like it's just a pointless feature to lure gamers into buying a Samsung for their consoles.
When I turn it on it definitely changes the image but I'm not quite sure whether for better or worse..

I know it's kind of daft to ask if I should change it when it looks good without the mode, but I would just like to know if the GameMode really makes the image better. If I have a feature that improves something I sure as hell want to use it. :)

Well, the game mode looks better or worse depending on how you have the screen setup. I used to use game mode all the time for use on my 360 and PC, but recently after messing around in the settings, i have managed to make it look a lot better without the GameMode. It is now only of use to me if the room is very bright and i need a little extra brightness from my screen too.

Thanks.

I've also tuned the display settings to my own liking. And it feels quite right.
Though, one thing I noticed, through a tip by someone else, is that in BF:BC screen tearing and V-sync problems seem to vanish with GameMode on.

Game mode is recommended because it turns off a lot of processing the tv would be doing in the background that might effect your performance speed on the tv. I use it cause I don't notice a big difference in appearance. I know when Microsoft uses those Kiosks in that stores those monitors are always set with Game Mode on.

Also if you're using HDMI connection to the Samsung for the 360 be sure to enable the Just Scan feature...it'll give you 1:1 Pixel mapping if you're using 720p.
