It's kinda worrying me that they're spending so much money on marketing, and not the actual game...kdawg88May I ask how you know they aren't spending money on he game? Oh what's that? You don' really know? SHOCKING!

The production values of Deus Ex: Human Revolution looks, from the promotional trailers, the music, the art design, to the gameplay demos and now the viral sites, entirely outstanding.
Aside from Battlefield 3, no other shooter in the next year or so takes my eye as this one, and in the single player campaign I highly doubt that any other shooter in the 2011 could compete against.
Jesus Christ, for a couple of minutes i thought this was a actual company site, its so clean and fantasticaly made, i haven't checked the details regarding the game that much..
This alone did it for me, i'm hyped up, i hope to God it'll have a decent story at least on par with the original magnificence that is Deus Ex, and focus on the atmosphere more then on a generic milked to death Invincible-I-Am-Cuz-I-Cary-A-Gun. I hope they make this game as unique as the original. Can't wait to buy this baby.
Checking some info., this made me smile ->
"The PC version of DX:HR will feature DirectX 11 support for improved visuals. It will have more advanced AI to compensate for the precision offered by the mouse, in addition to optimized controls, and a unique UI tailored to the platform." [source]

What about Rage?
Sucn an outstanding viral site. Anyone have any idea how I can obtain the song from the website? It's so smooth and ambiently(if that is a word).
EDIT: Nevermind I got it :D

Shooting is just one of the many sides of Deus Ex, so I imagine the shooting aspect won't be of the highest quality.[QUOTE="Ondoval"][QUOTE="kdawg88"]It's kinda worrying me that they're spending so much money on marketing, and not the actual game...kdawg88

I am playing the first one for the first time right now and am very far in. Is the hacking on this site what WAS actually going to be implemented? Apparrently they changed it according to a poster above. It is quite fun. Like a pac man, king of the hill, hacking game :P.
Also I heard they took out lockpicks and multitools? I kind wish those had stayed, but everything else is looking great.
*Does a happy dance*. March 2011 will be an awesome month for games.Checking some info., this made me smile ->

What about Rage?
Rage looks like a run 'n gun game with vehicles. I didn't like Fallout 3 too much, I'm boring of empty devastated lands, which is what Rage puts in the table. Aside from the cool skyboxes I'm not very convinced about the gameplay. I liked Doom 3 and Quake 4, and I think that is a good idea to see id Sofware changing from linear corridor shooters to sandbox ones, but the Rage universe doesn't attract my attention in the same way as DE: HR.

Do you actually understand what I said there? I don't have to repeat myself.... Yeah........they are right. You said thats its worrying you that they arent spending AS MUCH money on marketing rather than the game itself, which is not true. What if they are spending MORE money on the game than marketing? You dont know.[QUOTE="kdawg88"][QUOTE="JangoWuzHere"]Do you actually understand what I said there? I don't have to repeat myself.... Yeah........they are right. the dude is saying that there is alot of marketing compared to other games. obviously that costs a bit more money than average. hed rather have them conserve some of that money to direct towards the game. how much?...idk, doesn't matter. your taking his words a bit too literally.

Oh what's that? You don' really know? SHOCKING! Honestly, the hype level of this game and the quality of the trailers is far superior than the technology they use in the actual game. But then again, they are developing this for a long time, so the technology they use cant be cutting edge ;)
