i have the latest nvidia 301.42 driver, with a gtx 680. when i play AC Revelations, once my computer restarted and usually after maybe half hour more of playing the screen turns black for a few seconds thne the game works again and it runs choppy, i will usually quit and restart the game or just keep playing and it the black screen may happen again. it is possible ubisoft made a crap port that does not work that well. however i was just wondering if i should just contact pny for a replacement or if there is something else i can do.

Is it only in that game or does it happen in other games too? That problem usually occurs when your GPU is running too hot and it "resets" itself. Could be also that you don't have sufficient power supply 500W-600W should be enough. And also, doesn't Nvidia have some kind of a automatic overclocking program on its driver package, better check that out too if it works correctly.

i have a 750 w corsair psu. i remember my laptop reset itself with gaming (i bought a cooling pad and it stopped resetting). my silverstone rv02 has great air flow at least i think it does. my gtx 480 and gtx 465s sli never had resetting problems with long hours of gaming. i do blow compressed air iin my case with all panels off at least every 3 weeks and i clean all the fan filters as well

I had my screen go black for a few seconds while just on the desktop.

Windows popped up a window over in the Notification Area that explained that the driver had stopped responding but had recovered.

I hope that helps you out some.

I wish they would do that for all of their cards at the same time, but Nvidia doesn't.

i had problems launching AC brotherhood running that driver and i called UBI and they told me to go back to the regualr drivers. then again they also blamed my isp and about 10 other things and gave me a lot of convoluded solutions like port forwarding, all i did was go back to the standard driver.

Try much older drivers or wait for a new driver.
