I was wondering what are some good and free security applacations out there for my laptop pc. It's a windows xp vista. The one that comes with the computer isn't getting any updates even though automatic updates are on. Please Help!!

A couple to look into are AVG products and Lavasoft's ad-aware.

I'll second the AVG recommendation. Even better, there's a free version of it. Or, alternatively, if you're not into gaming, just get rid of the inferior Microsoft OS and install Linux. :-)
