Hey, Im in a quite picky situation. Shoud I sell this pc for a better one or not?

current rig:

e6600

gigabyte ga-965p-ds3

ocz gold xtc pc2-6400 2gb dual channel

evga 8800gts 640mb 500mhz

antec p180 atx

ocz gamexstream 600w

scythe ninja plus rev

vista 32 bit home preium

New rig:

e6750

same mobo (or different, but I suck at choosing mobos)

crucial ballistix pc2-8500 (or different, was considering the corsair xms, but had some bad reviews, also getting this rather than ocz becuase it's faster?)

evga 8800gt ssc edition 512mb

antec 182

Corsair cmpsu 620W (or just the same one)

and the rest is the same

So im not sure wheather to stick with it, or sell and buy a better one. I will make extra money selling, and would love to buy better pcs. Thanks for the opinions.

Keep with your current rig, I see no reason to do that... its not like you will see your moneys worth in difference there.

I don't see any major difference except the graphics cards. The difference between E6600 and E6750 is very small. I would keep the current rig.

I do still make extra money, and get better processor and graphic card plus a new case :D , but I will think about not selling it though

bump, still wondering whether to change the rig, and a extra hundred bucks for selling could definitely get few games for me as well.

It sounds like you've already made up your mind to sell it. If you already have a buyer lined up, you might as well do it. Any performance improvement will mostly be from the video card - the CPU and memory aren't going to have nearly as much impact.

If you don't already have a buyer, you might want to consider whether the amount of money you make is worth the time it will take to find someone to buy the system at the price you expect on top of the hours involved in putting together and setting up a new PC. All for a small to moderate performance gain that you could almost have from just buying the new video card.
