I am looking for a headset to game with and also listen to music and watch videos with on my PC. I have an Asus Xonar HDAV 1.3 True HDMI 1.3a 7.1Ch soundcard. Between the Sennheiser 350 and HD 555, which should I go for?

Well, if you can find a 555, I'd say go with that. The open earcup design makes for better soundstaging capabilities, which also help with analyzing the whereabouts in whatever you hear. That's just my opinion though.
Nice choice in company Sennheiser you could almost swear by. Either set is going to meet your expectations but 555's might be more comfortable.
In case you needed another opinion: The HD555's. Also consider "modding" them to an HD595.
Enjoy your new headphones!

Are the 595s considered to be better?

Yes, alot.
Also they have new revisions out called the HD 558 and HD 598. Take a look. They cost more but reviews say they're a solid upgrade.

Ok thanks. I assume that the 558 is a revision for the 555 and the 598 a revison for the 595. Would that be correct?

Correct.
May I ask why you chose a soundcard with HDMI when you're gonna be using headphones?

I didn't do my homework like I should and went ahead and purchased a card using its price to determine the quality. Ended up with an expensive card that I currently still haven't been able to use.
Could you tell me if any/all of the HD 555/558/595/598 headphones will be able to connect to this soundcard or if they come with an adapter for it? The following are its inputs and outputs:
1 x Aux Audio in
1 x HDMI In (Type A)
1 x HDMI Out (Type A)
1 x Line In/ Mic In (Jack)
10 x Line Out (RCA)
1 x S/PDIF (Coaxial) In
1 x S/PDIF (Coaxial) Out
