I started seeing this a few months back. This is a ViewSonic N2750w LCDTV. It is starting to get annoying. I've ran JScreenFix for hours at end and it still looks the same. What is the problem and if i take it to repair will it cost a lot? I'm also getting a lot of image persitence such as logos that appear on shows i watch at about 20minutes rate. The logo stays on for almost the entire day. What should i do:cry:

Your display has gone bad, very bad, similar problem to what my Samsung HDTV had a few months ago. My screen had a smear down the left hand side and when you played certain games the images would be retained on the screen for several hours.

Mine had an extended warranty (and I'm in the UK) so I have no idea how much a repair would cost.

For your information, LCDs can not have screen burn. This is only a phenomenon with plasmas. That being said, your having a problem with ghosting, which all LCDs except the absolute best often have a problem with. If this isn't how it looked when you bought it, then something you did recently created more ghosting (which is irreversible). I guess trying to unplug for a day and then checking it out might help, but sadly, probably not.

I stand corrected - LCD burn does happen RARELY and it is difficult for it to happen (days and days with a logo on) - very rare. Here is what you can do:

"Sharp's Senior Vice President said that the condition can be reversed by "exercising" the pixel by playing snow, or turning off the screen for a while."
