Looks interesting. Is it open-world or semi-linear?
The dev used the word open-world a few times but it remains to be seen.
its not bad, I like the idea's of it and its from monolith productions. but the cinematic kill moves, really take the immersion way from the game. and the exp system really. I'm not even sure why its there to begin with it. Should be somewhere on bottom left like rpgs I believe, instead of the left hand corner.
It looks like a shameless rip-off of Assassins Creed, right down to using the same animations. Very lazy work from an experienced but underwhelming developer.
The game looks interesting and with elements from other decent games like AC, Batman etc but I can't say I'm excited or anything. Also, even though I don't really know what the developers' intentions are, the game doesn't feel a lot LOTR-ish - that unique feeling that Tolkien's creations bear. Dunno, maybe it's too soon to judge.
Uh i will prolly pre order ti, they must meat my Hype Level over 9000 , but they are close i admit,. really its rare that i pre order single player games,.. Witcher 3 , Shadows of Mordor , only 2 games i gonna pre order this year.

There was an article that was talking about how they were accused of using the Assassins Creed II code and animations. Now that I've seen more game-play footage, it does seem to look like an AC rip-off reskinned as LOTR.
Nothing wrong when another dev takes inspiration from other titles imo,he should be proud of that but no,he accused them for "stealing the code " just by watching the gameplay footage .What a tool.
As for the game,it's still too early to say anything.Nemesis system looks promising,i like the stealth parts, where you can actually crouch.Combat resembles batman combat but what bothers me in batman is when you fill your combo meter you can just "fly" around and you could only deal one hit per enemy unless you stun them. Here it seems that you can just keep hittin the bastards until the limb/head falls off xD
For pre-alpha build it looks great, can't wait to see more.
Looks interesting, but let's be honest - when was the last time we had a good LOTR game? It's been awhile...
Black Flag?
LOL, but I'd still try it if I'll get bored of my video game collection.
(I saw the gameplay and the way you're going have to make to reach higher ranked bosses and I think it'll get repetitive very quickly, just like original AC)
Looks pretty cool. I always suspect this talk of "open world" really just means really big corridors though. Like, this scene looked cool, but if that's the only somewhat dynamic thing you can do and you repeat it 30 times then I've already done that too much in Assassin's Creed.

Yeah it might be like AC but heck, show me a game these days that doesn't take inspiration or copy stuff from others.
We need a good LOTR game, hopefully this delivers.
Not going to lie this doesn't seem like a lord of the rings game. Mind controlling orcs? Becoming a wraith and doing crazy shit? Let alone it plays a lot like assassins creed. I know I won't be getting this, if it didn't have lord of the rings and the skins of orcs this would be a literal copy of assassins creed in movement and what not.
Kind of disappointed :/.

I think Wraiths do have some kind of mind controlling power over weaker foes.
And what's with all the Assassins Creed comparison? Like AC was the first to do it or something. In any case AC is a copy of Prince of Persia.

They kinda pulled the black red flag when the controversy of the fact that the animations shown may very well have been downright ripped straight off Assassins Creed.
Shadow of Mordor has more animations and moves than Assassin's Creed... I watched the entire gameplay video and not just the first fighting scene (mid-clip). Sure, there are a FEW similarities that MAY resemble Assassin's Creed, but it also reminds me of fluid combat that of Batman Arkham games, which are good things. Like someone said earlier, Assassin's Creed used animations and moves from other games before it like Prince of Persia. Darksiders was heavily inspired by Zelda. This game has more than enough going for it besides a few animations that remind you of another game; so that's stealing code from Assassin's Creed? People read too much into Twitter comments and crap news.
