Ive been looking for games somewhat relevant to Diablo 2 and rpg games. someone suggested this game and i looked at some game play and screen shots and was somewhat impressed. does anyone have any other suggestions till Diablo 3 comes out? (i know...we have a long wait till the game comes out :/)
Baldurs Gate is NOTHING like Diablo. Yes, they are both RPG games but Diablo is Action Click RPG while Baldurs Gate is more classic D&D Hardcore turn based RPG (although it happens in real time) If you want something like Diablo, look into TITAN QUEST and TORCHLIGHT

that someone's perception of games is seriously questionable. BG2:SoA is as different from Diablo2 as you can get; furthermore, there're tons of Diablo 2 clone out there.
you could try Titan Quest, Sacred 2 or Torchlight while waiting for Diablo 3.
SOA could use a remake sooooooo bad. Some of its elements are too primitive for me to handle anymore, especially the inventory and the battle system. It's a shame because the story and detail is second to none.
The whole baldur's gate series is something every PC gamer should play.
I agree with the need for a remake though, the graphics bother me a bit, but the GUI and mechanics feel VERY dated, even after a little modding.
If you can get past that, you will be treated to some of the most magicla moments Bioware has ever created in an RPG - hell that ANYONE has ever created in an RPG.
