Futuremark Games Studio has put out the official word on the next free DLC pack for Shattered Horizon, titled "Firepower". Again, it appears that the developers have responded to direct feedback from the players and the media - while "Moonrise" added four additional maps to expand the selection of available play areas, "Firepower" is an update aimed to please those who didn't appreciate the simple, yet versatile assault rifle being the only weapon in the game. The second DLC pack is scheduled to add in several new weapons and grenade types to bring new tactical options to the mix.
"Since the launch of Shattered Horizon we have shown our thanks to players who have supported us by releasing free DLC. That commitment to the community continues with the Firepower pack which will add new weapons and grenades to the game," said Jaakko Haapasalo, producer at Futuremark Games Studio. "And while we are not revealing the release date or specific details just yet, players in our Arconauts program have already started helping us test and balance the new weapons."
We'll have to wait a bit longer for all the detail as the DLC is still under development and in closed beta testing, with the final details yet to be hammered down. I'm sure we'll hear more soon(tm).
