Shitty FPS in Metro Last Light . NEED HELP !

specs

phenom II x4 960 t 4 cores at stock 3.0

sapphire radeon hd 6850 at stock

Ā 4 gig ram

have an old lcd running it at 1280 by 768

no matter at what setting low . normal .high or very high it seems to be atuck at 8 to 12 Fps .

Help me out guys !!

It should still do better than 12fps at such a low res...

Try reinstalling your drivers.

If that doesn't work, then try rolling back drivers to a slightly earlier version.

No,your video card will do fine in this game with that resolution.

You can run the game in DX9 mode,that will give you the performance boost.

Change the ā€™r_api #ā€™ value that is located in the %APPDATA%\Local\4A Games\Metro LL\(numbers)\user.cfg file. In order to run the game under DX9, change it to a r_api 0. For DX10 change it to 1 and for DX11 to 2.

Also,disable physx,update your drivers and enjoy your game o/.

Great tip. How much better (as in framerates) is Metro Last Light in DX9 and DX10?

It really depends on GPU but definitely you will get 10+ FPSs and the difference between dx9 and dx10 is minimal,you won't even notice it.

I'd replace the whole system including the screen if you play on such resolution, or buy yourself a console.
