the game of the year 2008 are very high end and graphics.what should be the best.it is not really easy decide that the game of this year all are very interesting too.so we can guess that 2008 is greater in games than the passed years.We can play all nice games of 2008.

crysis warhead or far cry 2

Crysis and Witcher (even tho it's a "new" version) are not from 2008 and I'm more than sure that Starcraft 2 won't be released in 2008. Gears of War too, it was released in 2007.

My vote goes to GTA 4.

Far Cry 2 looks awesome; I'm guessing that will be my GOTY. If it flops, however, BIA: HH will take its place.

So far i would say is Crysis Warhead, but the year hasn't ended yet, we still have a lot to see.

PC GOTY ? Mass Effect or GTA 4

out of those, i would take a wild guess and go for either Far Cry 2 or GTA IV, i don't think Left 4 Dead is GOTY material since it relies too much on co-op, and it looks like it will get boring after a few days of play. Spore is a major let down too. COD5 is an excellent game so far MP goes, whilst the SP is a good but short-lasting expierence, it's probably going to win best online FPS, or FPS for that matter.

why not include a game like Fallout 3? a game i think will have the biggest shot at winning GOTY.

Crysis warhead well get the best graphics of the year no problem no contest there.

GOTY will either be Far cry 2, cod 5, or Crysis warhead, possibly Fallout 3. I don't think Left 4 Dead well get GOTY and I don't think spore or GTA IV have a chance tbh maybe for consoles but not pc.. Guess we'll see.

PC GoTY for me so far has to be Crysis Warhead.

MGS4 for overall GoTY IMO.

After just finishing World of Goo I would nominate that as Game of the Year ... an absolute masterpiece and well worth the paltry $20 it costs.

Of course it won't be, unfortunately both having to think and to not shoot stuff in a game is a big no-no if you want to get noticed nowadays

i don't know how well optimized GTA4 woud be on pc...but if you're talking about GoTY 2k8 across all platform, then GTA4 hands down. another worthy candidate would be Metal Gear Solid 4.

Grand Theft Auto has a good chance to become game of the year due to it's rating from reviewers, look and gameplay and sales.

Crysis : Warhead is a definite contender for the game of the Year award du to it's looks, reviews and rocketing sales.

Far Cry 2 has also a chance to win and I hope it is the one winning, the reviews it's gotten are good, it look and sounds very good but it will most likely fall into the shadow of Crysis and will sell very good but not as much as Crysis : Warhead

Left 4 Dead is a contender but might suffer due to being released so late this year, it looks and sounds good, has gotten alot of good feedback and will sell pretty good.

Fallout 3 I'm unsure about, it's gotten mixed reviews and gamers have varied impressions of the game, It looks good ( at least to me) and will sell pretty well however if it'll win Game of the year or not I'm unsure about.

If anything I hope Far Cry 2 wins but sadly I suspect Crysis Warhead will win due to the sales.
