i think the mass effect games should not be remastered, the games are best in terms of graphics are good, not the best but also not among the worst.

ea was against doing this for a long time however in a recent interview the studio boss says that there seems to be a market for it.

what does the community say?

Why not? How would a remaster ruin your original versions?

Clearly it is more money from the console market.

If they bundle all of the games with their DLCs, that is a good buy as well. The only game that would need a good amount work done graphically is Mass Effect 1. It hasn't age well at all.

I wouldn't buy them. I already have all of them. But for the new player? Why not?

I got all 3 and never played them. I just completed ME1 a couple year back and started again last week to continue save to 2 and 3. Remasrer no just a performance increase and AI tweak.

It is really a pain and much too expensive to get all the three games together with their DLC. I mean there is a trilogy package somewhere but it doesn't have all the DLC and there are a lot of them and EA still charges full price.

So a remastered containing ALL the DLC in one package would actually be a good value proposition even at full price, even for the PC.

If they did a remaster they should do it free like steam with skyrim and bioshock.

Yeah go for it. Remastered visuals, ME1-3 with all DLC... I'd easily pay $60 for that

I´d rather see Kotor and Jade Empire remasters than ME,the games still look good enough.

No, they run and look just fine.

There are soooooooooooo many Bioware games that actually deserve and borderline need to be remastered. Neverwinter Nights would be a good one. So would KOTOR.

With that said, and as someone else posted...if they made a remastered bundle of all three games and included all DLC for a reasonable price, I would buy it.

I wouldn't mind if they do what what Bethesda and 2K are doing with their remastered by giving the remasted edition free to those who have it. I still want controller support though so I don't have to use an unoffical mod.

I was hoping the devs who update Kotor 2 would do the same for the first game by adding native controller support and achievements. But I guess they only care for the sith lords cause it is the "better game"

not on PC unless they port the game on UE4 which i highly they'd take the time to do

If however they were to add controller support and bundle all games together with all the DLC then maybe i would buy them again.

This new found craze of "remastering" games that aren't even 10 years old is getting a little out of hand (unless the "upgrade" is free for those who bought the games originally). With that said, the thought of playing Mass Effect again makes me nauseous so, uhm, yeah....

all the mass effects i own are on the 360. But if they remastered them on the PC and sold them all together into one game i'd buy them for sure. But knowing Microsoft these days, they will release it requiring windows 10, and i'm not installing that shit OS

If they added trackable achievements to the original two I would be happy to play them again. The games still look pretty good.

It... might be nice, but if they did make it for PC only, then my current rig would not be able to run it. However, I'm upgrading my rig in 2020 and my PS4 should be able to run the remaster, so yeah. Then again I have the trilogy on my PS3 already so maybe it would be nicer for the people who don't have the games more so than myself.
