We all Consider halo one of the better games in the series but for being such a great game it is a hard game to beat. Microsoft really dropped the hammer with halo 2 and probably started developing the storyline in such a way thta it acctually put you in this sc-fi situation. To be Fairly Honest Microsoft really stepped out on a limb about to break when making halo3 for the xbox 360 it was a stunt in the ordeal that many gamers had to go out and purchase this new console in order to get the game. So is it worth that much to you? Spend a couple hundred bucks. Post Your opinion here

Great game? No. Halo is worth nothing to me, I play real FPS that are decent and not lame/generic. IMO, Halo should never have come to PC, thats just embarrassing and an insult to PC gamers for giving us trash.

As a huge Halo fan who never shelled out for XBL, I would love for Halo to make a reappearance. The game permutations has more variety in it (excluding outside mods) than a ton of games being played today. I mean, that's probably why it's so successful on consoles, because it has more of the PC model in mind, with user-created gametypes that you just don't get in Call of Duty.

For such a multiplayer heavy game (I don't knock it's SP... I love the story) I was only there for CE and 2 for LANs. When 3 rolled around nobody had the time to bring over their Xboxes and TVs.

In my opinion singleplayer wise Halo was bad, Halo 2 was great and loved it which got me excited for Halo 3. Halo 3 was like Halo though so I was kinda sad.

lol so what are the majority of PC games if something like Halo is "an insult to PC gamers". Back on subject, I own a PC and an xbox 360, and have finished every halo to date (playing through reach right now and loving it) and I would like it to come to the PC so more players can enjoy it.

I beat Halo CE and 2 on the PC, so I'd like to beat 3, ODST, and Reach on PC.

I would like the people posting here name one fps that does everything that halo does out of the box (i.e. forge, theater, firefight, MP, SP without having to install additional software.) For everything that pc gamers say about halo being console shooter and doesnt match up to what pc has, I really would like to hear which pc game offers the wide variety of options, and does a good job of each part. Not saying halo is perfect, but it is the most complete package as far as games go and does in fact require a lot of skill and teamwork, and had halo come out orignally for pc there is no doubt everyone here would love it

I personally thought Halo: CE on the PC was great. The story was good, and gameplay was fun. It ran great on my old laptop (which was all I had at the time), and it didn't have any noticeable bugs as far as I could tell. I tried it on my current gaming rig, and I was really annoyed by the 30 FPS tick rate though. There's no interpolation, so everything but your cam movement looks like it's running at 30 FPS.

The multiplayer gave me fun for hours aswell, you could do so many fun things with the gamemodes. It lacked lag-compensation, so aiming could be difficult sometimes, but it was still fairly competitive.

This. I love playing Reach for all of the game modes and the amount of epic fun that can be had with CTF on Blood Gulch.

The only thing that would make Reach better is if it were on the PC and had dedicated servers. Playing the game with a controller is just sucky, and I get frustrated a lot while playing due to how incredibly inferior the controller is. Also, the matchmaking system on the 360 makes me want to kill myself.

But Reach offers sooo many game modes...it's a hell of a lot of fun, especially when you get into custom game modes.

I don't see why see why Halo shouldn't be on the PC just because there are better games already. There are (imo) better console games than Halo, does that mean Halo should exist at all?

But yeah, I'd probrably buy Reach if it were available on the PC.

I still haven't bought a console since my Sega Megadrive, so no I still haven't played Halo 3, ODST or Reach. And I don't expect to either. Microsoft has gone completely cold on the idea of releasing Halo games for PC, and from what I've played of Halo CE and 2 (I've played through Halo CE three times and I'm currently on the second Arbiter segment on Halo 2), I don't feel like they are good enough reasons for me to buy a console. If 3, ODST and/or Reach do arrive on the PC, then I'll get them, I guess, but they would be low priority buys with spare change only. A full package of extra goodies do not matter to me if I'm not going to be using most of them. I would rather buy games that concentrate on the stuff I do use and do them well.

I would play it for the multi-player alone. I love pc gaming, and its the only kind of gaming i do, but i feel pc gaming lacks futuristic warfare games such as these. We have plenty of WWII and modern fps, but hardly any good futuristic sci-fi fps games. I would enjoy it personally.

What are the better PC FPS's people here keep referring to? Apart from Crysis, ever FPS that has been on the PC recently seems to have been a multiplat.

Not arguing - I'm genuinely interested.

Indeed, multiplayer in this game is simply epic.

It would be even more so on the PC.

Anyone who says that there are much better games or they don't care if it comes to the PC has obviously never sat down with some friends to play multiplayer or go on Live together.

Halo was excellent of the xbox, just as golden eye on the N64 and virtual cop on the saga Saturn,Deus ex on the pc.

but the end of the day that is all nostalgia and I'm happy for it to stay that way.

Pc has plenty of good games and it will still have plenty to reminisce about later on too.

As for FPS im still playing battlefield 2142 and loving it still.

I love Halo and the only reason why I dont play it right now is because I hate the 360 controller
