So I'm finally getting my first Gaming PC (the rig is in my blog, check it out if you like), hopefully, by Christmas. Now, here's my question, should I play World of Warcraft? The game looks interesting and obviously alot of people play it, but is it worth it to be addicted? Recently several of my friends got rid of their characters and stopped playing altogether and I was quite proud of them. Once I mentioned I'm might try the game out, they said they would definelty start playing once I got a game. So should I try it out, get addicted, and also get my friends addicted all at the same time? Or should I just avoid this altogether?

I think that you should first try the 15 day trail and see if you like the game.

It's up to you. You might regret it if you don't try it, but then again who wants to pay monthly for a game seriously? When you can play guild wars for free.

I stayed away from WoW completley because I just didint have time for it. I have a lot of more games to play then just WoW all day. So I stayed away from the game all together.

I play RPG's, FPS's, and RTS's. I've tried the FFXI beta on the 360, but that game was way too slow paced. I used to play Diablo 2 on the PC before it crashed. God, I loved that game...

WoW is a good game, and if you like MMOs, go for it.

My caution would be that if you start playing WoW, in all likelyhood you will stop playing ALL other games for about 8 months to a year. So it's up to you. WoW or everything else.

Nah dude it's not worth it. Don't let World of Warcrack consume your soul!

Lol but seriously, there are some great games coming out this fall and I'd do your rig proud and play them. WoW is for people that have way too much time lol

wow is a great game to bad its crazyaddictive.

dont even compare it to GW i played that game and it is sooooooo boring cuz theres only 20 levels u can start at the cap lvl but if u do all u do is do little pvp sessions to buy spells. at least in world of warcraft the world is huge much more freedom items options and weekly updates.

yes i do play a lot of wow

Edit: i do have a family job and a life but i like to kick back and play wow every so often.

Edit again: the reason why i play it a lot though is because i dont play any other games its wow or nothing hehe with a side of halo

No, for a new rig the graphics would be insulting.

World of Warcraft isn't a game, whoever made you think that is plain stupid. MMORPG's aren't games at all.
I'm not kidding, unless you really want to waste your time on mediocre gameplay with some vague resemblance of social activity, avoid them. There's so many games out there that are a hundreds times more fun for 1 day then all of your MMORPG experience put together.

Never played it and never really wanted to either. There's many other great RPGs out there and you don't have to pay monthly for them.

Back on topic it's up to you, give it a try.

It is a very good game, but it is not fun when you dont have friends playing with you.

Well i dont agree, because i played offline singleplayer (cr-acked version, because i didnt have original)and i had fun time just exploring and enjoying atmosphere and beautifull enviroments.

WoW is actually an awesome game. It's just really addictive and time consuming. I'd be cautious if I were you. You'd be better off with a game like The Witcher. It has an ending.

I wouldn't play wow..

you will probably waste countless hours trying to level up and get whatever items and then blow off things from your real life, i have a hard enough time balancing gaming with the normal things i need to do

but wow just tips the scale to a bad point for a lot of people...you have to make a judgement call..it may seem silly to take it so seriously but you know its good to think about things..

WoW is fun but it has some problems. Its repetitve. You might get addicted and never stop.everyone will abandon you. Then u will go crazy when your subscription ends when u lose your money.U then act like your character and get taken to a mental asylum. Then u kill yourself and think your in the game so you can walk to your body like in the game.Your dead.
