My current PC cant run those games at all. Should I buy a new one to play those 4 games?

Or should I wait for a better version of Windows Vista and entertain myself with GTA VC, Max Payne 2, Morrowind, Grim Fandango, and Warcraft 3?

Thanx

What are the current specs of your system right now?

You may not need an entirely new computer to run those games.

Eeeek, I don't reccomend a laptop for games. Do you know how to build a computer? You can build a cheap and fast desktop computer if you are willing to do the research.

Well in that case, I would say yes. Go ahead and get a new computer. Or better yet, save yourself some money and just build one. I forgot what thread it was in, but someone linked all the parts you need to build a rig that is suitable for games of today and will be good enough for most likely the next year or two to come in the gaming world. And that rig only cost a few bucks over 600 I believe.

With that graphics card, yes you should get a new PC (since you can't upgrade the card).

oblivion and bioshock just aren't worth making any significantly pricey upgrades for, but half life 2 - amongst other games you may not have considered - definitely are

two particular parts of psychonauts are simply the best moments i've ever experienced in a computer game, but the game on the whole isn't very good - in fact, i think the word flawed would be extremely generous... if you have a ps2, or could find a second hand one cheap, it would probably be better to just grab a ps2 on the sly and pick up a copy on playstation

really, if you can't play half life 2 - and you're a fan of fps games - you're missing out on a hell of a lot more than half life 2, so you should definitely look into upgrading your pc - but for bioshock and oblivion, it's really not worth it at all - and while it may be worth it for psychonauts, there is a much cheaper alternative available

i think you should be looking to get a new pc sorted out asap though

If you can't play HL2 and Psychonauts, then you probably need a new comp altogether, in which case the answer is most certainly yes. Can you post specs though?

I really want to upgrade. But my concerns are:

1)I am not sure about upgrading to Windows Vista

2)I have a large collection of unfinished games including Max Payne 2, Morrowind, Grim Fandango, Warcraft 3, Longest Journey,Sacred, Arcanum, Tropico, Stronghold, The Curse of Monkey Island, Neverwinter Nights and Call of Duty.

Do you still suggest me to buy a new PC with Windows Vista mainly just to play Bioschock, Oblivion, Half Life 2 and Psychonauts?

Besides my processor and memory are fine. But my graphic card sucks and I cant change it since my machine is a laptop.
