I wasn't initially interested in this game, but lately I've been looking for something a little more casual ( I mostly play RTS), and am pretty bored by my RPG options at the moment.

This depends. Do you enjoy hack and slash games that offer nothing beyond the standard hack and slash? Think Diablo. Could you still play Diablo now for 40+ hours? Titan Quest is your basic hack and slash adventure with updated graphics. There is really nothing new added to the mix whatsoever but the game itself is still very well done for what it is. The game is also only $20 now. Personally, I can no longer play hack and slash games. I tried it with Sacred, then again with Dungeon Siege 2, and a last time with Titan Quest. I've grown passed shallow games such as these.

I liked it too, I just wish they'd add in closed, account-based online play. The game would be a lot more popular online if not for people who use hacked characters.

Wow BounceDK liked a game?!?! Amazing! Hehe joking aside, I liked it as well. It's not an amazing RPG, and like Velric mentioned, it is pretty shallow. but it is also alot of fun. The best part of it imo is the class system. You mix and match 2 different classes, then get to choose from each class's individual skill trees. Makes for a lot of different combinations. Plus alot of the skills are really cool. My favorite is Defense Mastery. You get things like shield slams (which make enemies go flying :) ), and Colossus mode which makes you like twice as big and strong.

Even though I did get bored with hack and slash rpg's, it's been a long time since I've played one, so I'll probably pick it up for 20 bucks.

I want to get it too, I love Diablo II. It is one of my favorite games. I spent so much time playing it, I used to come back and renew my account and I'd end up getting hooked again. My computer was broke for a while and it all expired so I'm finally free.

Velric probably plays Warcraft !!  haha....   Titan Quest is fun. If you want a casual game go for it. I enjoyed it, it's got a cool skill system. I like trying new skill combos to see what works together and what doesn't. Personally I like games that require more time and learning like flight sims and Navy sims like Dangerous waters and Silent Hunter 3 but I enjoy a godd RPG once in a while.

How does my comment in any way describe that I may or may not like Warcraft? Are we talking Warcraft 1, 2, 3, or World of? Be it any of the traditional Warcraft games, yes, I enjoy them, but if you are speaking of World of Warcraft, no, I do not much care for it.

As someone who loved the Diablo series, I think Titan Quest is one of the best hack and slashes out right now.  I've played other new ones in the genre, such as silverfall, and I think Titan Quest is great.  Here are some pros/cons:

Pros:

-Great graphics.  While this isn't a huge deal, just looking at the environments in TQ is awesome

-Amazing class/spell system.  You can play through several times just to get all the spells/character builds.

-Huge selection of enemies, and a few good boss fights.

-Long singleplayer mode

-Co-op is a LOT of fun.  I played through with a buddy and it was a lot of fun.

Cons:

-Item system sort of blows.  You'll find worthless items everywhere, even level 5 items at lev 20

Diablo/2 was awesome, and this is the same damn thing as Diablo series. Only thing that sucks about mine is that fact the manual didn't have any cd-key code with it so I have to send it a back to THQ

The Diablo series was and is still fantastic. Unfortunately my tastes in gaming have changed and while games like this used to interest me they don't anymore. I think the only series that could keep me playing the basic hack and slash is the console Baldur's Gate games. They had a great storyline with often very interesting areas.
