I currently have a 14" Curved CRT monitor.I was thinking about getting a 17" Flat CRT monitor for $120.I am getting the 8800 GTS 320 MB as well. Now i was thinking why not keep my current monitor and get a 640MB 8800 GTS.

I cant buy both obviously. This is so confusing. What do u guys think i should do.

well i think 17 inch's will be a lot more interesting to look at than that 14. The 320mb version is a great card too. I would skip out on the 640, and get the monitor with the 8800 320mb. A 14in monitor with an 8800 640mb seems a bit mismatched.

he obviously doesnt have much money so what you are telling him doesnt make sense.

anyways the 320mb is plenty of graphics card for a 19" monitor. i would get the 320mb and the best monitor you can afford

You should get the biggest monitor you can afford. The 8800GTS 320 will be able to drive anything up to 19" without breaking a sweat.

A CRT monitor for $120? Or did you mean LCD because CRTs are dirt cheap now. I got my 21 incher off ebay for £15.

If you don't have a good monitor a good vid card won't do anything to improve the picture. The monitor should be the best you can afford. You may be keeping it longer than your current computer.
