Antec has a passive cooling pad, which in a test (Guru of 3D, I think) I saw did as good as active pads... Went around $20 at the time...

I bought a sh*tty brand laptop cooler 2 years ago and it worked well because not only did the fans cool it but if you ever needed to put it on your lap or on a easily heatable material then it gets in the way so you are always on a smooth cooling surface.
