I've played crysis and I have enjoyed the single player and I've played plenty of the multiplayer too. I think the single player was great, but the multiplayer could have been better.

But the main problem for me is the system requirements. One of the reason I did not like the multiplayer was because I had to play on a 7900 NVIDIA GS and I had 10 - 20 FPS.

Has crysis warhead improved its multiplayer by alot? And is the single player better or worse than the original crysis?

The main thing I want to know is if the game improves gameplay for dx9. Is there a demo for the game btw?

My understanding is that Crytek has no plans to release a demo of Warhead. From what I've heard, everything about Warhead is better than Crysis, including the multiplayer. However, if you were getting 10-20FPS in Crysis with your 7900GS, you probably won't get much more than that in Warhead. I was getting 26 FPS on medium at 1024X768 in Crysis with a Sapphire Radeon HD 2600PRO and upgraded yesterday to a Palit Radeon HD 3850 SUPER and got 34.9FPS with the same rez on medium. You will likely have to upgrade your GPU card to get more FPS out of Warhead, unless someone else here can show that to be unessesary?

It's superior to Crysis in every possible way.

It's absolutely fantastic, dude. I just finished it, and I'm, like, whoa :|

I haven't played it yet but so far, most people are saying it's like Crysis, but better. Yeah, you have a shorter campaign this time around but I hear it has better graphics and optimization. And Crysis Warhead is more like the first-half of Crysis (which may be good or bad, depending on you). More kickass vehicles, and dual-wielding guns as well. Gamespot's 9.0 editior's choice should mean something, considering GS hardly gives those away. You be the judge. ;)

Crysis feels like the tutorial to Warhead.

The setpieces are amazing, especially the frozen sea.

The OH **** moments are extremely impressive.

The aliens are fun to fight now!

You play with nanosuit allies for a while.

That train level is incredibly badass, it makes everybody's dream come true: fight on a train while jumping from a wagon to another, get off the train while it's moving, race to catch up with it... you can't get more badass than that!

The atmosphere is a lot better. It rains a lot, the sky is dark, there's mud, aliens, a frozen jungle in which you actually get to play a lot...

Psycho has much more personality than Nomad. The story reveals more about Nomad though.

The cutscenes are top-notch, only the first one is pre-rendered! And the facial animations destroy HL2, Psycho IS alive, it's like watching a real human...

The new guns and vehicles rock.

The pace is VERY fast, and there's only one linear level, which is a far cry from those in the original. It's FUN.

Warhead is the best action game since Crysis, and it leaves the original in the dust... It has the PC GOTY award in the pocket!
