can anyone tell me what the advantages of having DDR2 1066 RAM over 800? is it worth a little extra money or will it be completely worthless? what noticeable differences will there be during gameplay?

If you don't plan to overclock, just get the 800.

Really only needed for the more advance overclockers.

For DDR2-800 or 1066? If you're asking about 800, then it's average (but not bad). You can get faster but the price of the RAM goes up exponentially with every decrease of latency. + You could underclock the RAM and get faster timings.

Or you can get some bad*ss timing by getting elite ram: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320263115695

The reserve might be high on this but this is great ram! 5-4-4-12 Timing on 1066 is a rare find.. I'd grab it if i could afford it..
