Should i get dirt 2 in steam or in D2D?

Is it true that the steam version of this game is buggy? I want to get it on steam i dont know if it has issues? Have u had problems with this this game on the steam version?

I'd get it on retail if I were you, but if you can't then get it on Steam.

I have no problems at all playing the steam version of dirt2 and I bought it on January (the game is fully patched too) and works perfectly with KB, x360 controller or G27.

Go D2D. You can burn the installer to DVD once you've downloaded it so you don't have to sit through the download process again at a later date should you wish to reinstall. You don't have to deal with Steam's 3rd party apps and you can always add it to your Steam games later if you feel the need.

right now steam has all codemasters racing games in a pack for 17.50. dirt, dirt 2, grid, fuel, toca 3. pretty amazing deal

You can do that with the steam release too, there's an option for "backup files".

Yeah it is, I got it last night. Installed GRID and Dirt 2. Now I need to find my 360 controller(moved). I'd buy a G25/27 if I had the moniez.

You can do that with the steam release too, there's an option for "backup files".

Or you can just copy the entire Dirt2 folder from inside Steam. Either way, copying that back into your Steam folder is faster and easier than reinstalling it from a bunch of compressed files.

im so comfortable with steam, that its hard for me to go retail or any other dl service. even if these other services offer cheaper sales.
