Don't get it, singleplayer is terrible and multiplayer even if mildly fun it's dead and was dead since release, it had a lot of issues with how it played overall.

Just get the demo, or even the game if you'll find it on a sale, an extremely good sale.

The single player was ok and the multiplayer was really fun at release. Definitely needs a balance patch, but these days it's pretty much dead I think. Haven't logged on in quite some time.

TL;DR, don't bother with it unless you find it for $20 or less.

Even if it was $5, you would be wasting your time. The single-player campaign is a shooting range slide-show. The multiplayer is meh.

It's not worth the release price, but it's available for much cheaper than that now. I picked it up for $17 - no complaints.

This is why I'm often confused why many developers force multiplayer content into their games. Chances are it'll be dead in a few short months anyway.

I'm going to echo Daniel's sentiments by recommending to wait for a really good sale. Otherwise, save your money.

This is really more of a forced singleplayer instead of focusing on multiplayer. Just like FFOW (Frontlines Fuel of War), only actually fun, but they wasted time on singleplayer when they should have perfected what the game was going for, multiplayer.

I enjoyed what I played of the SP... some of the scenes had a pretty serious emotional impact, which games tend to avoid these days. But like most SP campaigns, I have yet to finish it.

The MP has a small community right now, but the game itself is pretty fun. I'd say get it if it's cheap.

It has dedicated servers, getting into a match can never be an issue, you guys are just talking out your butts. As for the game, I got it with the THQ pack for $49.99 along with other games such as STALKER: COP, Metro 2033, Red Faction 3: Guerrilla, Dawn of War II + expansions, Darksiders, and a few others, pretty awesome deal if you ask me. Speaking of which, it's THQ week again! http://store.steampowered.com/sub/11844/

It's funny this thread was made before the day it went on sale. However, I expect it to appear as a "daily" with a much bigger discount than 33%.

594 as a peak isn't a number that would make this game be anything other than dead (two months ago it was almost 1k, no matter what die hard fans it has, by the end of the year it'll be gone completely), doesn't matter how easy it's to find a single server when there are just 594 players in the entire world and the game isn't worth more than 5 (rip off even on the sale and I doubt it'll go lower than 10 if it gets a daily special).
