hey guys im wondering what game i should get?

Personally, World of Warcraft is much, much better in the vanilla days (that's all I played until endgame). SWTOR is like a multiplayer KOTOR 3. I cannot honestly say it matches half of my experience in World of Warcraft though. WoW (vanilla) was amazing. SWTOR is solid all around, and even better if you're a Star Wars fan.
But then again, I'm only a lvl 9 bounty hunter, and lvl 8 jedi knight. It's too early to tell. But even as lower level characters in WoW, i had more fun.
i love star wars but it kind of disappoints me that it uses origins. i was thinking about WoW because they offer diablo 3 for free (do they still offer it?)SimplyFatalYou do not need to start up Origin to play Star Wars: TOR. All you have to do is boot up the game client and click "Play." That's it. :) No Origin running in the background.
no thanks and next time just gtfo instead of posting. your posts are just a sign of trollingneither, find a new hobby

Personally I'm jumping on the annual subscription :P, I want that charger and I also get to go in the MoP beta which I'm extremely exited about, I might not be in the mood for WoW right now, I probably won't even play 20% of those 365 days, but I also received 2x60 days worth of game time from friends (Christmas and all) so technically I only need to pay for 4 months since I do buy around 4 months of WoW time in general every year (at least), 4 months means less than the price of Diablo 3 which I'll get for free (EU), even if I REALLY want the CE, I'll just get that and the bonuses and get the Diablo 3 CE a few months after.
As for SWTOR, I'll give it a few more months, MMOs at release aren't pretty, no matter how much people say they enjoy it, I'll probably get it and play that month in March or April.
i love star wars but it kind of disappoints me that it uses origins. i was thinking about WoW because they offer diablo 3 for free (do they still offer it?)SimplyFatalJust an FYI you are incorrect. It does not require origin at all. You don't even need origin installed. Yes they do still offer free Diablo 3. Me personally I would pick SWTOR. I have never had so much fun playing an MMO before and I have tried and played a lot. I tried to get into WoW like 6 times but just couldn't do it didn't have fun at all. LOTRO was one I had fun in for awhile but couldn't hook me in, after a few days I could barely play for more then an hour or 2 before I was bored and logged. SWG was an MMO that was my first one that I paid for and because it was new for me had a blast in 05 getting to level 40 is all I got though. I have played others, everquest, etc of course I literally have tried so many MMO's but neither of them have ever really hooked me. SWTOR on the other hand just has what I love, star wars, great story (amazing story at least for jedi knight/sith warrior) and for me its an amazing MMO. Never played one that got me so addicted yet and honestly didn't think it would happen ever. I would go with SWTOR but that also depends what you are looking for. If you enjoy PvE would highly recommend SWTOR over any other MMO out there. If you are mainly interested in PvP then I don't know as I haven't played it due to how awesome the storylines are so that one I can say I imagine other MMO's do it a little better but again I have no clue in this department. Just my opinion I love PvE and this MMO easily fulfills that part better then any other :).
It's probably not worth getting into WoW now, it's only going downhill from here. As far as SWTOR, I've been having a great time with it.. it's a must buy if you are a star wars fan.
I would go with SWTOR. Because the game is new and pretty much everyone is low level and learning the game. WoW is full of high level guys that have been playing for years that won't have time to help and team up with you and all the established guilds won't recruit you.
i played wow until level 60 and that game is totally aimless. do not waste time.MonsterMMORPGSorry, but that deserves only one kind of comment and as you guessed it, it's not complex or illuminating, lol.
I played Wow for well over a year, probably longer, I have been playing SWTOR for a few days. I would say SWTOR, But I very much loved the KOTOR games, and This seems like a very flexible Multiplayer KOTOR.
I will not be going back to WOW, at all. With SWTOR, and Diablo III, most of my gaming time will be taken up, I have to find time to play other games I want to play, and sure won't have time for games I am no longer interested in.
As long as you don't shoot to get to the last (available) level in SWTOR with your character, as fast as you can, you should be able to get quite a bit out of it.
I found WoW to be a very disappointing game after I'd heard such great things about it. It was just far too easy and I could get by repeating the same attacks over and over again.
It far too easy to be considered interesting, but at the same time it still requires more input than mmos like Runescape, so It's hardly the most relaxing MMO out there either. I don't understand the games appeal.
SWTOR is a great game and elevates mmorpgs to a new level. After playing the last week, I still can't believe how amazing it is...the whole game feels like I'm in "The Empire Strikes Back". It has that great darknes to it andthe Empire side, you can really be a nasty badass.
I will not be renewingWOW next month and already said goodbye to my guildmates. Hands down SWTOR is so much better tha WOW.
wow is amazing but the old republic is groundbreaking its amazing

Tell me, how is the old republic groundbreaking. Just explain to me why it is so groundbreaking.
Bioware and EA has everyone thinking it's groundbreaking, but when you think about it, it's not groundbreaking at all.
im getting the game tomorrow guys thanks for all your comments!!!! im going nuts looking at these trailers and gameplay vids :DDDDDSimplyFatalYou really ought to wait before getting SWTOR.
- The beginnings of MMO's are always a bit rough.
- A lot of the people who recommend the game and talk of 'O what a delight this is to play, it has revolutionized the genre completely!' have barely stepped foot in it and are blinded by the "New game!" feelin'.
- In regards to the prior, they are also still rockin the lower levels. Remember Age of Conan? Yeah, that game was a blast for the first 20 levels or so. The content after that was bad. It's hard to say if SWTOR even has enough content to keep it interesting in higher levels, or if the only point in the game so far is leveling up and doing quests.

I think that's the only reason to wait because of the queue times. If you're stuck in a 2 hour queue, you're not going to get much time in with your free month. Basically, I think most MMOs are worth if you playan average2 hours a day for the first month. That means you got 60 hours of gameplay for $60, not a bad deal to me.
