I got an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.13 GHZ I want to overclock it to 3.00GHZ

2 GB Ram

Ati 4850 512MBwhose core speed is 625MHz which I want to overclock to 750MHz

will I see a performance increase in games such as crysis.

Right now when things get busy frame rate gets pretty low.

I run it at 1024x768 MAX DX9 settings with 8x AA

with no enemies on screen the FPS is around 25-30 average

a few enemies shooting 18-23 average

lots enemies 10-15 average

So should I overclock will I get around 10 FPS extra?

Overclock gpu's for the most part dont gain too much in performance, Now If you overclock your cpu to 2.7-3ghz you will see a good improvement. But you need to get an aftermarket cooler.

Also consider picking up another 2GB of RAM.

Why run at that resolution with 8xAA? Your PC can't handle it.

Overclocking won't help you much, it would be a waste to overclock your system and have to pay for another fan to keep the heat managed. Your system can't handle the 8xAA graphics setting that you have, if you disable that you should see a big difference in frame rate, and it wont affect the quality of graphics much. Also, if you're running an operating system such as Vista or Windows 7 (you didn't specify) that could be another problem with your frame rate because it takes a minimum of 2 gigs of RAM for the OS itself to run properly, with all your RAM dedicated to running your OS there's no room for it to help running the games you are playing. I hope this helps.

I assume since your running it in DX9 that your using XP. 2GB is enough for a XP although 4GB is always better. With that said, do like others have suggested and back off the AA and if you can OC that cpu to 3.0Ghz it will help, but dont expect huge jumps in framerate. The 4850 will perform much better at that resolution if you first make sure the cpu isn't the bottleneck and you back off the AA to a more reasonable level, like say 2AA.

Well I do have XP plus I live the UK. Also Ive read online that the fan with the processor can support an overclock to 3.0 GHz.
