At the moment, I have an ASUS A8R-MVP (S-939, PCI-E, DDR) and have had it for quite a while. I have always wondered if this motherboard were good or not because I really bought it just for crossfire (which I don't use anymore). Are there any other better motherboards available that I should buy to replace this one?

P.S. I am NOT upgrading any other parts so do not recommend me a motherboard without Socket 939 and support for DDR RAM.

Well, I have just always felt that my mobo is not that good. For starters it wasn't that expensive and it has an ATI chipset. Whenever I turn on my PC, it takes about 10 seconds for the boot screen to come up because whenever I turn my PC off it always loads the default BIOS settings when I turn it back on again. This is a real pain for overclocking because whenever I want to overclock my PC, I have to turn on my PC and change the clocks every single time. I want a motherboard with a good chipset and one that doesn't do this how it loads BIOS defaults all the time at startup.

Unless you are upgrading parts, I don't think it would be worthwile to change the entire motherboard.

Let it be....if that's all you're upgrading.
