hi guys actually i wanted some advice from you guys because i think you guys will be better to take this decision than me

well now the thing is my retailer told me today that some company gave them some orders for gtx 295 3 months ago and now they have gone bankrupt

now he has offerred me one of its card for a reasonable price(i live in INDIA so the price is about 680$ but yah its good for us after taxes and all).

now he also informed me that sparkle have actaully reduced the price of its gtx 260 after 275 hit the market

now iam selling my 360 and will get some 200$ or more and i can spend another 200$

now i wanna ask is do you guys think i should get the gtx 260 in sli (please check my board because iam not sure if it is good for sli) or should i get 295

iam more inclined for 295 because i want something new and that is high end in all respects and later in 2010 when i upgrade to i7 i will get 295 in quad sli

so any adivce for me on how i should go about this?:)

I would wait, because Nvidia will be releasing their new cards later this year wich will drive prices down, and why would you need two 260's in sli and or a 295 gtx with you have a 260gtx already? Dont waste your money on a pointless upgrade.

if u plan on getting a second card or getting the gtx295 as make sure u overclock ur processor otherwise it will bottleneck the graphics card quite a bit as its takes a i7 running at 4ghz to remove the bottleneck of that card at 1920x1200

According to your sig you already have a gtx 260, not sure why you want to upgrade cause you already have an amazing card. Just wait till next gen of cards come out.

Money waste right there. NO upgrades are needed wait atleast until the ATI 5**** comes out (don't buy any gpu until both the 3** and the 5*** have been out for a month that way it isnt so expensive).

Dont even think of gettting a new card. You should be maxing any game with the card you have and going to sli or getting any other card you wont see any major difference. save your money!

The question is why do you what a 295 when you already have a gtx 260? Cant you run a game or games good? or do just want the bleeding edge of tech? because going from a 260 to a 295 doesnt warrent the cost vs performance. But going with sli does have its perks too multiple monitors, better physx performance and cuda. But really it would a waste of time and money really. My 8800GT's in sli is near GTX260 performance and I not yet found a game that I cant run 1680x1050 all on high settings and 98% of games are maxed. But thats my 2 cents, its your money do what you want with it if it will make you happy go ahead.

Well your motherboard will work just fine with sli so will your psu. But again what games cant you run with good performance? Also I would wait because Direct x 11 and Windows 7 might be released near the end of 2009 which your gpu wont have dx11. Save up and wait for the newer gpus that will have dx 11, I think you can last awhile longer with a 260 gtx.

I have pretty much the exact same setup except I have the 260's in SLI. I upgraded from 2 8800GT's. The change is incredible and I am glad I did it considering I got both cards for $260 total. It's up to you but the only thing I can't max is Crysis, only 4XAA.
