should i?stefanec1992

short awnser : no.

long awnser : if you haven't already played it, give it a try. You're gonna feel left out because most of the players right now are all max level. You aren't gonna find any love.

If you just love repetitive game play and mediocrity give it a shot.

Level 70 Undead Warlock here. Keyed for all five heroics and kara. Have epic flying mount and most of my gear are kara/pvp epics.

Short answers: No. Stay away if you value your friends and family. I am being dead serious.

Long answer: The game is intrinsically addictive. All the quests and factions are designed to be one large time sink that keeps you playing just to get the next "reward" (all of which become obsolete when the new expansions come out). It's boring, extremely repetitive, frustrating, and generic. Plus, you'll play it so much you won't even have time for other games. Stick with some online FPS and enjoy a diverse gaming regiment. World of Warcraft is a big fat piece of nerdy garbage.

EDIT: And by the way, I've been out of the game for three months.

You really shouldn't even ask this question. You are going those two types of people. One says no, because they treat WoW like it is a fad and in reality it's just a game, but some of those people actually really mean it and they truely don't like the play style and then there are those who well definetly say yes without even helping you out. Anyways, I just started and I think its great, but all you have to do is Google it. Always Google first if your not sure. Good luck with finding the right MMORPG for you. I say "yes!"

Definitely give it a shot. My first few months with WoW made for some of the best gaming experiences I've ever had.

Just make sure that you're playing for fun, and not for the sake of raising arbitrary numbers. Just go out there, make friends, explore, pvp, rp, whatever you like to do, and have a good time.

Chances are that you'll end up quitting sooner or later after you hit max level, and you should, as you've experienced all the good that WoW has to offer. Endgame is just a second job.

WoW is probably my most played game; the only other one that I might have played more is Halo2. It can be fun depending on who you are and whether you'll be able to not have, or resist, temptations such as joining a hardcore guild and doing instances (dungeons) over and over, just to get a new armor piece every 50th try.

I quit a while ago, but I don't think the fees and time required are worth it. Although messing with noobs in the human starting place with my Tauren hunter was quite fun for the first few times.

Then there was that one time in STV when I killed 2 Alliance with my pet, using eyes of the beast, after a duel had made their health go down.

Not worth it though, lol

I started a few months ago and have found it very very very fun but not that addictive, DotA is more addictive IMO. The rested EXP system really helps you not feel like you have to play all the time.

Its extra good if you have friends who play.

I can understand your frustration at realizing you were addicted to the game, but if he really just keeps playing for fun, he can have fun for a month or two and quit. I honestly can say there were periods in the game that I was having real fun.

Then again, the game costs money, and theres a monthly fee, and there's a great risk of getting addicted (I was somewhat addicted for a while).

I don't really know what to say. But No is my answer....

Im only 15 and dont have a job I think of it this way: I can play WoW for $AU50 for 3 months which is like the same price as going to 3 movies. 3 months of WoW>3 movies

Definitely give it a shot

WOW has more kids playing on it so expect the rude humor of naked players dancing in major cities and the usual beggar. Trust me I quit WOW and I have never been happier. My answer is No

The price is keeping me away, but when I come to think about it, 4 months costs the same as a 360 game. Without Xbox Live, what 360 game is gonna last me 4 monthes? Oblvion maybe, I'm gonna give it a shoot here and moderate myself to make sure I don't get addicted. Heck, I'm gonna force my parents to ground me from it if my grades start slipping.

I personally see going out to the movies with my friends way more fun than playing ANY video or PC game.

No Do not get sucked into WOW. I did. Once you get to involved in that kind of game, you just cant stop. Its addicting because of all of the constant trying to make yourself better to get better stuff. Its a giant circle that never stops. This game, if you let it, can literally ruin your life. The only way out is to realize that yes video games are good for fun, but in the end they are all pointless. Unless you sell things for money in that game it will ultimately be an extremely large waste of time.

WoW is a very good game. I had some really good times and memories playing that game. It's even better if you have friends that play with you with whom you can go do quests together with. It is very easy to get sucked in, you do get 1 month free for buying to the game, so you can try that and see if you like it. Ultimately, your greatest enemy in WoW is yourself. You just have to fight urges to get one more level, one more armor piece, one more instance...etc. As far as MMORPGs go, this one is really streamlined, polished and fun. As far as the community goes, just remember, you can attract bees easier with honey than with vinegar.
