With my specs, do you guys think it'd be worth it to trade in my 360 copy of BF4 for a PC copy?

Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4 GHz

NVIDIA GT 630 2GB, (I've overclocked it a bit, but haven't pushed it yet)

6 gigs RAM

I'm able to run BF3 on medium settings with Ultra textures, and gameplay I've looked at for my GPU looks like I'd be able to run it on Med settings, low on some things.

No meaning you don't think it'd be worth it, or no, my rig wouldn't achieve a stable 30 FPS?

Well it depends if you prefer comfort over graphics.

There's nothing easier or comfortable than playing FPS with mouse + keyboard.

Personally I'd trade it even if I had to play it on low graphics to achieve 60fps.

No, playing FPS with a controller is a mess.

@PredatorRules: I'm not even going for 60 FPS. I'm fine with 30, as long as it is a consistent and stable 30.

Also, @James161324, as glitchy and ill-prepared as BF4 is, there are 64 reasons why the PC version is better than console

PC version is of course better but im not sure it will run that well

The GT 630 is almost identical to a 9600GT/GS which was a midrange card almost 6 years ago........ (your below low-end with your current video card unfortunately).

Game should run better than the 360 but its not going to be by a ton (majority of the setting on low with the resolution set low isn't going to look that great).

Well that was my opinion =) And you better get 60fps stable on competitive multiplayer game - lag+low fps=almost certain death

To a certain extent, just becuase it has players doesn't make it any better. Its a beta nothing more at this point

They're very similar, yes, but my 630 has 32 more Cuda cores (no idea what those are though) and 2 gigs of VRAM. I've also OCed it to above the clocks on the 9600, but I haven't pushed very much, so it can go even further.

That being said, yeah, graphics/performance are my worst fear. I'll definitely be running at 1024x786, but that's what BF3 is running at, and I'm perfectly fine with it. As for the other settings, if they look better than 360, I'll be happy, and even more impressed by this low end card

Vram is pointless on a card that weak (the card can't utilized 2GB worth of textures). Not only that but the bus being only 128bit pretty much makes the extra Vram worthless since the bus is too small for the amount of Vram

It clocked higher but the 9600GT still has twice the memory bus and twice the Rops. A stock 9600GT is about 5-8% faster than a stock 630.

You overclocking the card means it probably as fast as a third party 9600GT which is majority of them.

It will be better on the PC, it just won't be a ton better visually (your basically running a midrange card from 6 years ago so the visuals will be better, just not by a gigantic amount).

@mastershake575: Slightly better is still better. As long as I can achieve an FPS that is consistent, stable, and above 30 FPS, I'll be happy

You are really gonna struggle with those specs, BF4 is a bit of a monster of a game.

You might reach medium but honestly I think even low will slow down.

Just keep it on the Xbox, there's no need to switch over in my opinion.

If your goal is to achieve 30 fps, stay with the console version. The vast majority of PC players will be playing at 60+ fps, at whatever spec settings, and that puts someone at 30 fps at a very heavy disadvantage, as if you had really bad lag, on top of whatever actual lag you might have.

You should be able to play at 720p at low settings with a bit better framerate than 360

But unless you value 64player matches alot not sure it worth rebuying the game for $40-50 just for that
