Or should I upgrade to a 260 or higher gpu? I hear that they'll be better gpu's in the near future though so I don't know if I should wait or go ahead with the upgrade. 1. Which card should I upgrade to if I decide to upgrade now. ( That would make a difference between my 8800 gt ) 2. How much do you think the future gpu's would cost? What website would you recommend me buy these parts from? Newegg?

Don't upgrade yet, if you don't have performance problems. At least that is my suggestion.

The next gen nVidia cards are about to arrive. No one know when, but most guesses are in the 2-4 month range. They will probably be very pricey, but they may lead AMD to lower the prices oh the 58xx series cards.

newegg seems popular, but I can't use it - wrong country.

What resolution do you normally play at? 8800GT/9800GT( I have) works fine for say, 1440x900, but as the resolution gets any higher than that its noticable that it struggles a little bit.

I play at a 1680x1050 resolution. It never stutters or anything like that even when playing very high settings for crysis. Here is the rest of my PC Intel core 2 Quad Q6600 Windows vista 32-bit 4 gb ram (currently using only 3gb because of 32-bit vista)

Well, it's up to you then.

If it runs Crysis fine in your opinion at that res, than it should be able to handle anything thrown at it. Wait it out, get some more life out of that card. Unless you have truckloads of cash you're trying to get rid of. :P

Do you have a .edu account from like a college? Cause Microsoft is sponsoring a deal where you can get Windows 7 for $30. That's how I got mine.

I would personally, 8000 series is old hat, you'll start having trouble running games soon, also you play Crysis at that res with good Framerates? Doubt it.

Sign up, they should send you an e-mail automatically if your .edu qualifies, and go from there. I got Windows 7 64 bit Professional for $42 (it's only $30 if you want dl only, but I bought back up disk which is the process of shipping).

I would wait for the new DX 11 cards from Nvidia to come out before deciding.

You can also buy another 8800 card off of ebay and do SLI.

Wait for Nvidia to release its DX11 cards. Even if you don't get one prices of older cards will be lower.
