How do SLI 460s compare with a 670?
I know they'll be very fast, but SLI/crossfire oftend don't work well.
In games with good SLI performance, I think they are pretty much equal/ the 670 a tad bit faster. Mitu should know, he did the same upgrade. How do SLI 460s compare with a 670?

sli 460=gtx 580,
There isn't any reason to upgrade if your happy with them, they are a beast. The 7970/670 are faster, but its only worth dropping the money if your unhappy, otherwise just wait.
I went from two 460's to a 7970. The only major pluses, no sli issues, the extra vram always more eye candy, not that its usually needed. I was able to play bf3 on ultra, vs high to keep 60 fps on two 460's
if you gaming @ 1200p (1920 x 1200) or even to a lesser extent 1080p (1920 x 1080) then no their wont be much difference. and where it is noticeable the phenom II has obscenely high fps anyway. How about a i5 2500k compared to a phenom x4 955 4.0 ghz ?? will i see much performance increase ?

if you are playing @ 1680 x 1200 or a resolution south of that its alot more noticeable.

At best you might see gains in BF3, whether that's worth the price of a new mobo and processor right now is up to you.[QUOTE="kraken2109"]In games with good SLI performance, I think they are pretty much equal/ the 670 a tad bit faster. varying on your resolution you will fail to notice the difference. the msot cpu demanding game you listed was guildwars 2 or planetside 2. the others are more gpu demanding than cpu.the msot you will see if your playing @ more than 900p is ~8fps more
