[QUOTE="JigglyWiggly_"]Thanks :Dttobba07I do like the african americanized CPU cooling.(I don't mean to be offensive. I am just stealing that from a friend that was talking to his boss.) Hehe yeah, if you're talking about the rubber bands, before I made an elaborate cable tie system where I daisy chained them together and made them very unnoticeable... Then when I took it off... I said yeah... f that lol.

Hi. Wow that is really really nice Jiggly. Looks like you could usea bit bigger
computer desk. That racing gamemust be impressive to watch and play. Looks
like you are really in the car!!! Also the graphics look nicely detailed. Must be
a lot of fun playing on that system. Very realistic. I would like to see a movie
of you playing a first person shooter on that system!!! Thanks for posting that
Jiggly. Very interesting and informative.
yeah that's you get crossfireSo does this mean I can do the following:-
Currently have a 4870x2 in my unit. Have a 4870 sitting in cupboard.
Does that mean I can put the 4870 in the 2nd PCI-e slot and then I have crossfire?

not true b/c you cant cross the x2 cards and the single cards only 1 x2 with another hence why you cant crossfire an hd 3870 with an hd 3870x2
oh your right sorry I misread his post lol!not true b/c you cant cross the x2 cards and the single cards only 1 x2 with another hence why you cant crossfire an hd 3870 with an hd 3870x2

It has a ok grip... but the best part is you can't get cramps no matter what. My g5 and cyber snipa stinger, and mx518 gave me cramps when I played like quakelive for an hour. This, I'm all good.[QUOTE="JigglyWiggly_"]

You can crossfire a hd3870x2 + a 3870... Which also means you can crossfire a 4870x2 + 4870. This is why I love ati, so flexible. Of course you can't crossfire a 4x series and a 3x series gpu, which is unfortunate.not true b/c you cant cross the x2 cards and the single cards only 1 x2 with another hence why you cant crossfire an hd 3870 with an hd 3870x2

Oh well. I just saw Jiggly's awesome setup which made me wonder about crossfiring a x2 to a single. Maybe better off buying a cheap motherboard, since I have spare RAM and HDD's and the 4870. And build a media centre PC out of it. Use my current 4870x2 in my gaming PC. I just want more monitors after seeing the above pics.

ATI is flexible, just like those rubber bands :)
Did you notice a performance increase?

Not really, I mean it depends on the game. The games that do take advantage of it already run well on a single hd3870x2 because they scale well. Games like Crysis don't scale well at all, so that didn't effect anything. Grid I noticed a nice bump up in fps. Actually anandtech has a nice review on what I did: http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=3256&p=5S-s-sarcasm? What is this word?
Lol, I don't have any games newer than CoD 4 :P In fact, I'll post a picture of my current set up, with the 7500LE and the 500W Power supply. Heh, I also have A packard Hell case. (I was young and didnt know anything about computers, packard bell was the first company I saw, have been regretting it since!) It wasn't an awful rig three years ago.
ha well how young are you? I'm 19S-s-sarcasm? What is this word?

Please go easy on Packard, he has had a hard time fitting in with his new counterparts. I figured theres nothing worth looking at in there to bother with the cables, I will get round to it though. Eat this Jiggly!
WARNING: The images you are about to see are not recommended for those with weak stomachs.
(It is in my sisters room at the moment, set up on a old biege "Low radiation" screen.
So yeah, Packard Naked:
Yes, that is a ribbon cable.
Packard from the front:
The graphics card (I'm not kidding, my **** is beefier than this:
FFS! I even have ribbon cable on my grapahics card -_- My hand is larger than it *sigh*
The screen I am set up on (It's got a pretty good image, it's good enough for now)
II Know it isn't ATI (Yet) But I see this thread is in need of awesome pics from awesome rigs.
Holy crap you with the candy and the soda just like me lol! Oh that 7500LE should be able to play any game from 2004 such as Far Cry, Doom 3, Half-Life 2 and such, which are still great games by the way. Please go easy on Packard, he has had a hard time fitting in with his new counterparts. [QUOTE="furio123"]Heh, I sincerely hope you're joking. Intel Pentium 4 FTW! yeah what was great about the Pentium 4 is that it had hyper-threading which makes it work like two logical cpus.yes i think your system is awesome its just like mine. ill have to post some pics soon. by the way i have a radeon 4670.

false. i have seen many 3870's crossfired with X2's, but only on XP, i think ATI already fixed that... also, i can hybrid CF my 4850 with a 4850 X2, and a friend of mine has Hybrid CFX 4870+4870not true b/c you cant cross the x2 cards and the single cards only 1 x2 with another hence why you cant crossfire an hd 3870 with an hd 3870x2

no pics yet it's only part assembled, but....
phenom 2 x4 965,
firepro v5700 512mb (sounds weak but for the firepros, 512 is all it needs)
a big standalone PURPLE LED i found in my garage! (there was a spare cable on my power supply, what?)
500 w coolermaster powersupply,
8 gigabytes of ddr 1333 ballistix ram.
it's not actually for gaming..... but i had it running earlier and it can four times AA crysis on max everything else....
it has low framerates from low-ish clock speeds on the GPU, but no matter WHAT i do they don't change, because it has plenty of excess power, it's just a bit slow dishing it out, resulting in an unwavering no matter what 47 fps on crysis.
My Case from the outside (Thermaltake Soprano RS101 VWS7000, i haven't done nothing to it, except cut out all fan grills... i plan on getting rid of it and building a tech station)
My 4850 with an Accelero S1 Rev2.0
Accelero with its evercool 120x38mm fan zip tied to it (maybe a bit noisy when cranked up to the max, but gives me a 45C improvement under load from the stock cooler, best 20 euros i ever spent :D)
my side ducted, shrouded, lapped TRUE
and almost the whole thing
This isnt ATI but heres my Pics of my SLI,
The Front. Can you finally see the light? :P

The Inside with my CM V8, 8800GT's with DuOrb coolers

Just got my 50" 1080p plasma in today. Card is a HD4890. Wasn't expecting this thing for at least another week, so for now it's going to have to sit on my desk lol.
