I'll maybe get it when it drops to $50, or if it's ever on sale during a steam weekend deal. On release day for $60? No.

I was going to get it, but a game that charges you $10 extra for retarded multiplayer isn't worth it.

I din't have the idea of buying the game two months ago because 50 € is the max amount of money that I'm ready to pay for a regular edition in a game is 50 €. I bought COD 1 time ago at 50 € and I took COD 2 from a bundle graphic card. But when I played the COD 4 demo I didn't like the linearity and the constant respawn of enemies, abusive scripts and lack of different fire modes in the weapons, plus the 60 € price tag were reasons enough to keep myself away from the game.

With MW 2 the things started a little better, because the respawn of enemies in the campaign was disabled. Sadly, the big price tag -60 € is not reasonable aside from consoles, because in consoles you as a third partie developer must pay royalties to the platform- and the gameplay were enough to refuse the game, even I this time my interest for the mp was bigger. But the insane news since the last month have been so disastrous that today I would refuse to play the game even free.

I think that IW must not keep developing games to PC -or even PS3-. I'll leave the platform if the next mp shooters follow the model of IW, and I'm glad that Bad Company 2 will arrive in 4 months taking the flag of the PC online gaming awesomeness. I think that COD 4 will reign totally overshadowing MW 2, and after the flop PC gaming will never be the same. Next time a PC developer will deploy a multi will take a lot of care about what his potential purchasers want.

fun fact: steam isn't the only place seling the game, as a matter of fact, it's quite hard to find a store around here that does sell the game for 60€ like steam does

basicly every store I looked at has the game for an average of 45€, I got mine for 42€

Me no. I'll be surprised if it sells well on the PC. IW seem like they're doing everything they can possibly do to screw the PC version on purpose and see if people still end up buying it. Intrested to see just how much it gets pirated, more than spore me thinks for sure, this is much more hyped and appeals to a huge audience.

Haven't there been like 1,000 of this topic im getting it for the singleplayer didnt even like the multiplayer on cod4

I will be buying Modern Warfare 2 and playing it the night that it releases.

Or, since my friends are all getting Left 4 Dead 2, I could go with that.

Before you try to convince me to get Left 4 Dead 2 and ignore Modern Warfare 2, NO I do not care that it is $60 (I would pay $100 for a game made by IW.), NO I do not care that there are no dedicated servers or modded servers (Modded servers only frustrate me.), NO I do not care that it requires Steam (In fact, I think that Steam integration is a good thing.).

However there is no doubt in my mind that I would have fun playing the sequel to Valve's Zombie Apocalypse Shooter that I didn't want in the first place. I'm still waiting on Episode 3.

I wonder if people realise that that each hate thread about MW2 is just advertising it to more people.

Let me just say that I absolutely love COD4. I, and many others, were expecting MW2 to be one of the best FPSs of all time. Our hate and vitriol comes from the crushing disappointment that overwhelms us everytime IW open their mouths. It's a digital heartbreak.

Since COD2 was great and COD4 was great, then most likely MW2 will be great.

They will not suddenly develop a really bad game after developing blockbuster titles for years.

no, IW- Activision have taken the worse spot as far as developers go, which used to be long to EA; ill save my money for BC2 and BC3
