Hello,

After Installing SH 4 on my new Dell XPS 410 Quad core with the following

256MB Nvidia 8600gt-ddr3,dim,p

vista home premium

I get a box titled

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

In the box was the following

Runtime=Error

Program C:\Program Files \ Konami \ Silent Hill 4 \ Silent Hill 4.exe

Abnormal Program Termination

In General, I got it loaded but can't get it to start.

Konami Support suggested that I run the application in compatibility mode of Windows XP.

I did this with the same result and was wondering if anyone else had a fix for this.

Thanks

Craig

I've been told that SH4 doesn't work for Vista. So you and I both know, that really sucks. Hopefully I'm wrong, as I too would love to have this game for the PC. I have Vista Premium, you see. If you figure anything out, email me. Evanrulesyou@gmail.com

Try XP compatibility mode, reinstall, etc.

Its not Vista. ive got SH4 on XP and it comes up with the same runtime error as well. it also does it to the first Starwars battlefront game but not the second one. i have a hp intel core 2 duo processor with a ati radeon 9000 series vid card. so im just as confused as you are bro. any idea? oh somebody mentioned it might have to do with having a duel core processor.
