When I first bought my PC it started off with around 177 gigs of memory. I installed a few games and such and it went down. But now heres where the problem is ( and maybe it's not a problem I could just be brain dead stupid lol) my memory seems to be bleeding out.Yesterday it was at 92 gigs and today I'm down to 74 without installing anything.

So whats going on? And is there any way to fix it? Thanks

OS = operating system. The version of windows you are running.

If it's Vista, the problem is probably the system restore processwhich is taking all that space.

You can either disable system restore (not recommended) or limit the amount of space used by typing the following under the command prompt (type "cmd" in the run box) :

vssadmin resize shadowstorage /on=C: /for=C: /maxsize=4GB

This will limit the usage to 4GB for example.

OK then go through your disk with explorer and see where the largest files are. Enable hidden and system files (Tools>Folder Options>View>check "Show hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide protected OS files").

Don't just delete system files or you'll be sorry.
